This game was totaly diffrent to PH (Phantom Hourglass) I belive, that The Ledgend of Zelda : Spirit Tracks had more.. excitement. - For example, PH didn't have alot going on in the backgrounds, and skys. ST is certainly a nicer game to look at. And the scenery is near amazing. Personally, i would have gave the game a 10/10. I'm also a huge fan of the music in this game! You simply can't fault this game! - (10/10 is MY personal oppinion)

Personally i liked Phantom Hourglass. I found the fact that there were only 5 temples in this and the fact that theres, what, 6 special weapons to unlock? Dont get me wrong i like this game, but i think PH was better. And i also found the storyline and ship thing to be more enjoyable in PH.

You're obviously too young as to remember when OoT was released. It introduced a new age of gaming, and recieved praise (and still continues to this day) from all gaming websites, magazines, etc. It is one of few games that has scored a 10/10 from various consecutive reviews.

OoT introduced an incredible 3D explorable world, alongside graphics outdone for its Gen and a soundtrack none will forget. While SP may be good in its own right, calling OoT fail in comparison, is just ignorant.

Indeed it is, but still - calling OoT overrated is a stretch too far. You'll find many fans still find OoT to be the best and/or favourite Zelda release. However you're entitled to think whatever game is the best/favourite, otherwise it wouldn't make for interesting debates such as this. Admittedly SP is a great game for the franchise.

But the gaming community is growing younger, and most tend to disregard the games of the past, instead focusing on the now (which is perfectly fine, of course).

SP is a typical Zelda title. It takes on the similiar gameplay mechanics and story structure each time, always with a twist (wolf, train, cap, etc.). I definitely think it outdone its predecessor, but in my opinion still falls short of MM, TP and OoT.

Judging by your comments, you didn't play OoT when it was first released. You must realise how loved this game is, especially back in 1998. I'm not talking about how good the game is, but what it meant to a generation.

I can understand when people become frustrated when OoT is called "the best game ever" or "best Zelda game ever", when there really are incredible games being released, such as SP. But what you must understand is [almost] everyone loved what OoT is and was, and that admiration for the game's credibility still grows today.

Sure, by standards TP and SP are no doubt better than OoT. Unfortunately, OoT will always overshadow them because of what it brought to gaming.

Personally, I can't wait for the Zelda Wii. However I also don't want them to rush it, and then make mistakes as they did with TP (easy mode).

As much as Nintendo has seem to have gone downhill with its games (apart from the core signatures, such as Mario and Zelda), I don't think Nintendo would go down the same road a Sega. Nintendo are too powerful of a company, and much as people bash the Wii, it continues to dominate sales. As long as signatures are here to stay, I wouldn't worry too much.

Princess Zelda will ask, "which one you gonna be after this all is over" and you have three choices to choose from; "Warrior", "Engineer" or "dunno, depending which one you choose, after credits cinematic will change a bit. Nothing too dramatic, though.

@stilownin: Well, Spirit Tracks sorts of has enemy tanks, Wind Waker had enemy boats made of iron that shot cannon balls and Rusl in Twilight Princess used sorts of bazooka. Not long until Link will wield Shotgun of Time. :D And Nintendo likes to play with the idea ass seen in Link's crossbow training. hehe

Windwaker hourglass etc dont hold a candle to Ocarina of time or Twilight Princess (maybe M.Mask but the timing gimmick was damn irritating in that game!) out of all the games I wish I had beaten but haven't yet, theres two that are close to me: LOZ for Nintendo and LOZ a link to the past. I'm about half way through this game and am enjoying it a lot. However, I don't find driving a train as epic and enjoyable as a ship, and while it fixes many of the annoying issues of Phantom Hourglass it doesn't feel as original. If the next Wii Zelda is as good as Twilight Princess was I'll be happy. I'll be really annoyed if they dumb it down for the Wii Sports gang. I haven't bought a Wii game since Brawl and am only really keeping my Wii for the next Zelda so it better be good.
