DUDES, iPhone is nowhere close to being a smart phone.... (as of what we know so far) its just another cool looking device with major flaws like ahhh let me just guess.. NO 3G (how can you have real multimedia on the go if you you don't have a fast enough internet) i am tech person ... and i know the i phone is not for me. although REALLY COOL to mess with ( for ten first two hours)

TechFreak, EDGE just got a substantial boost (and has always been 2.75G-3G itself), the phone has unlimited WiFi use where available, and 3G coverage is spotty and sucks battery life too quickly as you well know. Major "flaws"? Not even CLOSE. Not perfect, but perfectly revolutionary. I'm taking my nightstick with me to Apple today. Don't get in my way, biotch.

Technically speaking, this is not a smartphone - symbian and windows mobile devices ARE smartphones. Also, for all of those who think this has GPS, well, it doesn't have it.. it's just google maps working through WiFi.

who says it needs gps to tell you where you are, you do know that if you are in the cingular network it van identify your position by the cell towers and where u are relitive to them. so theres a neat fact that you didnt know

I don't really think I'd want to mix my cell phone and my iPod considering I use both CONSTANTLY.. I'd either break it really fast or the battery would be consistantly dying. But this is pretty sweet.. I'll probably end up buying one maybe in seven years when I have money/a career ..and they'll have even more features by then anyways.
