why is she handing that boy meat? i gotta see this film now. And I have loved Leonard Cohen since my obstetrician played death of a ladies man at my birth.
There is a book, called "One-Two-Three-NOW!". In this book, there's a boy who falls in love with a girl, wich favourite song, is this song. The girl and the boy loves eachother to the sky, but then he finds out, that she has cancer, and she dies... I cried so hard when she died, and I still have a bad feeling in my stomach. This song is so beautiful
This song is posted on Facebook page called "Golden Tunes - Sound of Oldies", so if you have fb account and some time, check it, i guess you will like it :) Page is for everyone who like like warm cozy sound of evergreen music.
Cohen again in the spotlight of another great modern movie/television show. I hope you all remember Natural Born Killers! Anyways, for all you LOST fans (like me) Cohen wrote this song while on a greek island called Hydra, and it was finished in an apartment in Los Angeles. All for his love. Enough said!
Seriously, all these people pretty much just listening to this song because of Lost. Great episode last night, can't wait til next week!!! Richards back story!! Finally we get some real answers!!!!
@beaner8990 I was just about to comment the same thing. I realized I was singing this song and had no idea what it was. I typed in the only lines I could remember and found it after seeing it in the Lost promo for Recon.
if i have been unkind, i hope you can let it go by....but i swear by this song, and by all that i have done wrong, i will make it up all to thee, "why not ask for more." Great song Leonard Cohen.
One of the most beautiful modern songs I have ever heard. His conveyance of the hopelessness which writhes within the souls of so many is almost perfect, his similes like daggers poised over the heart, and as the song progresses the singer's fingers close around the handle and plunge it deep, deep down inside that red muscle. This transcends beauty.
Timeless, beyong ages. Thank you for all these poems-songs. Thank you so much as well for your HONESTY, Mister Cohen. And I swear by this song. A Masterstroke.
This is the first song I ever learnt on guitar when I was 7. I could never quite get the bridge bit (if I have been unkind...not sure if thats the right word for it. Even now that bit is harder lol...Loved the song then and now
I feel like I have wasted all the 16 years of my life by not knowing of this man's music until a couple of hours ago.
