I love the version by Olivia Newton John but I heard this for the very first time this morning and I was blwon away. I've seen Stewart live twice in my life, he's a bit faded now but he ceratainly has the best blues voice in the history of rock music.
As much as I like Rod Stewart whom I think is one of the world's finest entertainers ; but for this particular song, I think George Harrison and Olivia Nwton John versions are the best.
Never heard this version before. This is fantastic. It has that "full" feeling to it.
This came before Bob Dylan's? Dylan's version sounds different compared to this, and Georges sounds incredibly similar. Probably because it's in the same key. But I digress.
NO! setenteromusic is wrong. Its written by Dylan on LP New Morning 1970 & Harrison plays guitar on unused take. George covers on All Things Must Pass 1970. Search: If Not for You, Bob Dylan, New Morning & find great outtakes including slow early version & find footage of Dylan & Harrison playing for Bangladesh soundcheck 1971. Olivia Newton-John covers in 1971. Still the Same... Great Rock Classics of Our Time is COVERS LP by Rod Stewart 2006, & contains NO songs written by Rod Stewart!
My favorite version of this song is from George Harrison. I wasn't even aware of this additional fantastic rendition by Rod - thanks for uploading! Love it!!!
Olivia didn't think this song was right for her but her manager and producer got her to record it using the George Harrison template and the result was an instant classic and her first hit making it to #25 on the US pop chart. I consider it one of her 5 best singles. I like Rod's version.
Sexy voice!

como dicen todas la versiones son buenas; pero harrison fue el que le dio este toque de slide y un ritmo que te hace ponerte sentimental...

interpretada y escrita, mi buen amigo jevillalfon, por el grandioso Bob Dylan.
