The 'progressive agenda' is to move society forward to more enlightened ideas (equal rights for gay couples, minorities, better environmental practices, a more secular nation). Socialists believe that the means of production and distribution of land/capital should be given to the community. The fact of the matter is that a armed revolution to create a coup is a ridiculousness, won't happen.
But what will happen, is that a few people, just scared enough, just crazy enough, will act and in ways that puts everyone of us in danger. If the politician in this video were arrested and charged with treason, given a completely fair and open trial. And if he was found guilty, and hung by a rope, what would happen next? My guess, he'd become a martyr, and perhaps a second civil war of sorts would begin. Or the country would simply fall apart.
And what wouldl happen if those calling for a coup, or the blood of patriots,' were allowed to continue to speak?
Either way the country is screwed, and you have republicans to thank.
