@varaspk Man i've tried the both, and i have a powerball II, difference are on the knobs. Gain for each channel, middle boosted and noise gate are better. ENGL doesn't change the sound actually.

@austinfailz The reason you are seeing this fluctuation, is because of the 60hz cycling constantly present in AC power. What this means, is that that every light you see plugged into ac is constantly fluctuating on and off, 60 times a second, because of the filament staying heated and the short amount of time the lamp itself is actually considered "off" your eyes can not see this. A camera can somewhat capture some of it. The reason the amp isn't doing this is because of complicated rectifier

To be honest dude, with an 8 string guitar, you shouldn't play metal. More for jazz stuff, even on that 7th string, i can't distinguish the notes being played because of how low the notes are. No reason to tune past B in death metal dude. There's little to no clarity past that.

@GuernB2 the powerball and fireball are pretty much the same, just less versatility on the fireball. the savage and blackmore are also identical and same goes for the versatility on the blackmore. the tones are maybe just slightly diffrent but not by very much.

@yooxa Owning both I hear the diffrence in voicing's for sure, I find the Savage is just more heavier but i do like the powerball alot as well. Either one can get just as heavy, just throw a OD pedal on either and you can push these amps to the limit of brutal. I prefer the Savage only cause it does sound tighter with the contour botton engaged.
