This is slightly different to the other version's i've seen. You seem to cut through the pattern in your orbits whereas others go over the top and to the sides which makes the pattern seem bigger. if you have a look at KingOfCascade's version, you'll see what i mean. That's not to say your version is wrong. Just a nice variation
Hi Gnome. I'm Ganesh, from India. I liked the tutorial on reverse mills mess and the reverse factory. This inspired me to try and juggle a time reversed Yo-Yo pattern that I do and funnily last night I juggled the Sandbox shuffle without knowing what it was called until I saw this video this morning. I just want to say thanks for the inspiration. Cheers!
@chipwhip13 Awesome! If no one had discovered it before, it could well be named the Ganesh shuffle! I'm home for a week right now (driving exam and GREs!) so I will try to make more juggling videos. It's always nice to hear that my tutorials are appreciated, so thanks for the feedback!
Great tutorial and great vid! But you're doing a trick of your own!
You're doing what I would call "Romeo's sandbox shuffle", for as long as I recall, the original sandbox shuffle, as performed by Michael Karas, did not include the orbit motions you add after each swap. Loved this version, as it is harder and looks cooler!
hu Gnome, I have done a video with a 2xpasses Sandbox Shuffle you can do as many passes as you like in this style. Have a look :) it's my newest video. Thx for that trick!!
I'll give you my compliments.I've seen all your intuitive and spectacular tutorials! I practice the art of juggling and thanks to your videos, following them closely, I learned many new tricks. The Sand box yet I can not cleanly and precisely because it is difficult and requires great coordination.I'll post a video so you will see my skills even if they are still at your level! From the first video you've evolved so much! My name is Emmanuel and I am Italian! Goodbye! Thank you so much!
Got it pretty quickly, although am having consistency issues, definitely recommend learning yo yo on both sides from wildcats site first and NO I don't work for them.
This one looks fun! You think it's easier than Rubenstein's? I don't know if you have seen the "yo-yo on both sides" on the Wildcats' site but this reminds me of that with an almost half takeout/half Mangham's Mangle hand movement. Fair to say? New tricks do confuse me sometimes!
good tutorials , good juggler .... maybe the column before the claw catch has to be in the middle of your body ... i`ll post a vid in the next days of this version ... and excuse my bad english
Hey, that's really awesome! I'm honored to have helped you out, thanks for letting me know! If you have any requests feel free to ask and I'll add them to my list!
I am a keen juggler who has been learning from dvd's bought with juggling balls. Since getting on the internet I have browsed amongst many tutorials. Have to say you're more advanced and informative than others that I've watched. Have learned the sandbox shuffle in a couple of days from watching the man. On to Rubensteins next as found sandbox easier to pick up. Will keep watching to build on my fast learning hobby.
Excellent tutorial! The slow-motion really helped getting down that 2-ball exchange. After seeing this video, I was amazed by the little amount of time it took me to learn this complex pattern.
Thank you! And please, keep posting tutorials on such complex and difficult patterns as this one! :)
Thanks, I'm really glad my teaching method worked for you! If you find any other tough patterns you'd like a tutorial on, just let me know. I'm in college now, but I can still scrape up the time to juggle =P
Haha, thanks for your reply! I know: college can be a real pain. You really should keep juggling though :)
I don't want to force you to, but I'm dying to learn some flashy finishes. I know that you can do quite a lot of them, having seen "Fairly Obscure Jugging Patterns". There are many, many YouTube-vids about hard and difficult patterns, but very few (if any) about making nice finishes (or starts).
I've just made a tutorial for the truffle shuffle! You piqued my curiosity, but it took me forever to find any reference to it at all (finally found it on jugglingdb's database). I learned it and made a tut so hopefully it will be easier for everyone else to learn. Tough trick, but it's very cool!
Awesome tutorial! I have wanted to learn this trick, but I was confused... Your video makes it very clear, with a great step-by-step breakdown! good job, 5 stars fo'sure!!!
I am learning this for 10minutes :D not so hard, just cant get all parts together :D

Thanks for the tutorial! I just learnt this trick.
Couple of tips for anyone learning it
1/ Practice every step both sides.
2/ Use three different coloured balls. You can then see that one stays on the left, one on the right, and one on top.
3/ Might just be me, but I find it easier to start with the double throw.
4/ Just do what he says!
