Whitney Houston sang about love & her songs didn't have any references to pornography like the songs by Rihanna, Spears, Gaga & others. She didn't need to go on a stage scantily dressed like so many do today or say or do anything controversial to get publicity to help sell her albums. She just sang her heart out with all her soul & there will be a thousand Rihannas & Spears & Mariah Careys, but there will be only one Whitney Houston as she was one of the greatest singers of all time.

BTW, last year, while trying to fly from Atlanta to Detroit, Whitney got 'DIVA' on Delta staff, for not wanting to buckle up. Naturally, the flight was delayed because of her refusal to just buckle up.

Great singing (of course), but what a God awful arrangement!
The tempo is way too slow and the soppy strings sound like they're playing
the theme to Love Story.
I prefer the bombast of the studio version in this case.
Although it's a thrill to hear how she strains her vocals towards the end.
There's something uniquely powerful and emotional that happens when (some)
people sing at the very top of their range.

Whatever happen to the days when a star had to have greater achievements...such as winning many talent contest before reaching a record studio with a record contract. A record contract back when i was growing up meant that person(s) went above and beyond than the people within the contest. Today a record contract is giving out like jobs at McDonald. I remember feeling excitement every time Whitney walked out on stage. Whether it was to sing or just present an award or make a speech, it was always something very special about seeing her walk out poised and beautiful. We will never get to see her do that again.
