As a matter of fact, when you actually start looking into things, you will realize that men prefer playing sexy WOMEN, not men. It's like saying that the whole Tomb Raider franchise is not aimed for men but for women. I can think of plenty of good games that include a female protagonist. Often a good game is more about the story behind the character than the gender of it. Many adventure games use the "growing-up" theme such as Zelda to illustrate maturity, it has very little to do with a boy.
