The big asset they ve got left is Allison Mack a good actress , she can go on with a carrer, frankly I ve always found Tom Welling just an average actor, he is the one praying for you to continue to watch his mediocre show.

I wanted it to end after season 7 because I thought season 7 was horrible but season 8 has been great, with Brainiac still around, Doomsday finaly showing his true skin and Lex monitoring everything(even do we don't see his face) this season has pumped me up, something that the last two seasons haven't(with the exception of the justice league storylines). Lex was my favorite character but he was being miss used for the last 3 seasons.

So Clark starts wearing glasses. Chloe leaves Smallville, divorcing Jimmy. Then there will be a movie to complete the series. Yep.

I have been around long enough to reasure many of you that there have been Superman fans around for years. Here is my opinion.

Brainiac causes a planet to explode, sending its fragments to earth in order to destroy earth. Clark puts on the new redesigned Superman suit and saves the earth. This then leaves an avenue for a new movie "Smallville II" Staring Tom Wrelling as Superman-Clark Kent to combat a revised Lex Luthor who has set in his mind to destroy Superman.

Season 8 is the last season. They are not making a Superman movie that will be related to Smallville. They are already working on a reboot Superman movie, still waiting for Christopher Nolan to make a decision of doing a Batman 3, and planning make a single movie for the other DC characters like Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman to make the Justice League movie like Marvel is doing with their heroes. They might do a Batman vs Superman movie before Justice League.

Michael Rosenbaum (Lex) is no longer part of the regular cast a "human" Doomsday is being introduced and with the original creators of the series gone, it leaves the new producers ready to butcher it. My opinion, they should intro a few more heros and end the series with Doomsday killing Clark not Superman then make a feature film with Clark returning as Superman. In regards to the tights...they should go with a redesign not unlike Green Arrows outfit NO TIGHTS

Think this new season will end one of two ways... both include the suit... but the end is dependant on whether they decide to do a season 9 or not. Way 1) Clark will beat down Doomsday into the streets of Metropolis, as the dust settles we see the cape on a stick... TBC.
