Butch is fucking cool as hell. How many people produce one of the biggest albums of all time, and play drums in an awesome band all at the same time? One of my heroes!

here is the real history, with the songs come as you are, and smells like teen sprit,
before they was really discovered, they was playing live, in club in Sheiffied Alabama just across the bidge, the real words writer for Money For Nothing, Cletus Christopher Thornton, wrote the songs words with input from the band, during thier beer break and teens throwing them selves at them, several female virgin teens got live that night, Corbin call Thornton just before Corbin died on the day of the death.
@FlechFisher it takes balls to say that man. Krist is my favorite too. He rocked just as hard and nirvana was just as much his vision as kurts...they were inseperable. They were the Lennon and McCartney of the 90s. It just happened to be better when Krist didn't sing...lmao.
David Grohl and John Bonham are my two favorite drummers. The sound of the drums on this song as well as the whole album are indescribable. Pure driving brilliance. The only other song that has drums that sound as good as this is the song "When The Levee Breaks" by Led Zep
I remember thinking the same thing when I first heard Smells Like Teen Spirit. I was like,"whaaaaat was that" it was so good I had to let my brain process it all. Like a deer caught in headlights, I just stood there and watched the video for the first time. I had never heard anything like it before in my life. Quite possibly the best song of the 90s... well, maybe first 2/3rds of the 90s because then, of course, Daft Punk turned us all into robots! LOL :)
@emptybluecows i think we all feel the same the very firts time we heard slts... for me is the 90´s song...and the sound of a new generation....was amazing be part of that time and be fan of this band...miss Kurt and 90´s the best music.

Studmon182 2 years ago 90
this is actually a really easy song to play on the drums. it's all in the volume. and intensity.
miggy1038 2 years ago
@Studmon182 you should check out his playing with Them Crooked Vultures.
Dave, Josh Homme (QoTSA) and John Paul Jones... it kicks ass.

@Studmon182 my friend too (he's a drummer) and that's the only thing he points out when he explains that he hates the song -.-
