why dont you think we should have a hockey team? sure the fans MAY not be as into it as up in philly but the lightning are a 'new' team. hockey is bigger where the teams have been around for a longer time, like detroit or NY. TB has been around for 15 years and already has a cup and many playoff births. the fans here are younger, given time im sure hockey will grow much more than it already has.

better for hockey no doubt! but what irritates me is that people are so quick to judge. we LOVE the lightning down here, when you sport a club that won only 17 games then 19 and 19 again in a period of 3 years like we had in the late 90s of course its hard to garner a good crowd. not to mention our football team took off and all the attention was on them. and plus the ottawa expansion team got off to one of the rockiest starts in nhl history and people love them win or lose now. same goes to us

nothing tops hockey for me. with football youll get like a 100 yard bomb for a touchdown with just seconds left to win the big game in the superbowl and a miracle but no...... false start on one of the big guys. it completely drains the experience. if you get a goal in OT then NOTHING will take that away from you
