You should put 4.10:1 gears in it but still nice car, very clean I watched your other video what the shipping company did blows hope u got the 451 in it
Yep... this engine is still kinda sick. It just won't break in, I think the cylinders glazed up or the rings got burnt, all that abuse just took it's tole on the the block assembly somehow. After I tear it down I'll know for sure, I did all I could to rebuild the entire top end and make it right, but no dice. That's why I started the 451 project, it's actualy a 456 (.060" over) and the rotating assembly is finished and poked into the machined block already. I think I'll set it up around 10 to 1.

Is that still the messed up engine?
Thought I heard an intake backfire as you started the burnout so assumed it might still be.
