I've surfed this wave a lot, it's not an easy wave to surf. Shifty, big open ocean swells. And it gets really big. After the last earth quake in this area, this spot has been really changed. Seemed worse, but we didn't get it good post quake.
Have you ever imagined being able to surf and pull big air maneuvers with your feet strapped to your board and without the help of a Jet Ski?
Meet the EASY AIR kit!! Two decks with straps that are glued on the surfboard that allow the execution of maneuvers never seen before it , plus you can paddle with the decks and position your feet without hassle on take off.
The decks are glued on so no modifications on the surfboard are necessary. w w w,easyair, com,br
youtube says this video is popular enuf for ads to be added. i say no thx. Yes this wave is a super powerful wave. maybe the video down plays a bit cus Curran surfs it so confidently. i think the fact that its super deep - over 1000 feet deep less than a half mile from the break itself is the reason its so powerful.
that wasn't a 5'7 that was a skateboard he was surfing I think skateboarding influenced allot of his style rail to rail double bottom turns etc. you know.
beautiful place. thanks for posting. great video! I wanted to see this a long time ago. now years later it seems things are much easier to find with the net. Did you change the soundtrack? I remember firecrackers going off during the final tube.
I was staying at Bawa during 9/11. we didn't hear about the attacks for over a week until an American boat rolled up, & didn't believe it until confirmation with a newspaper 2 weeks later. I'm sure now you'd know much sooner.
hi sam, well maybe. I'm pretty shit with names... good with faces though. i was with 2 other blond git aussies. pitty the waves were only ok at that time.. unfortunate it wasn't amazing.
One person is a KOOK for not liking this!!

That really is an easy going wave. Hopefully we'll get some waves like that around here some freaking day now already
metalschooldrill 2 years ago
Easy-going wave? Puahahaha. No, young one, Curren just makes it look easy.
sacrificialglory 2 years ago
I agree with Sacrificialglory. You'll be thrown with the lip while it drives you 40ft to the bottom.
youlosez 2 years ago
He is like toying with the wave. I would not be able to even paddle into this wave and stand up on my gun, let alone on a fish, this is nuts.
