Its unbelievable. This is the voice of God. Watching him singing it appears like he is miming the voice of a person who I have never seen before. I cannot happen to fit this voice with any face, not even his. No one can have such voice. It comes directly from heaven through this human being Rafi, the same as bibles have been sent to us by God through humans. That's the way I see it.

The las shot of Hishor Da is symbolic in the same sense as the shot of other actors i.e. he sang for all these and he sang for Kishor Da also in some of films in which Kishor da appeared as an actor.
He was a great man with a great sense of humor. Although I have not seen him live coz I am just 14 and he passed away before I came, I know this coz every good person tells me about Rafi Sahab.

The best dream I ever had was one in which I was singing this song and my voice was exactly like Rafi, no more no less. It felt so easy and good. I was then abruptly woken up by my brother. He had the radio on and this song was playing. Voice like this you can only have in your dreams. And dreams like this you may have only once in a lifetime. I have always cursed my brother for not allowing me to sleep longer on that day.
I see from your profile how you love Rafi and his voice. To me, no songs ever get old. I find something new evey time I listen to a song. I cant stop analyzing the sentiments and feelings that Rafi put on some key words and phrases. Listen carefully in this song the different emphasis he put each time on the word 'dekha' after the phrase 'tumne mujhe'. He does the same thing on the word 'jaae' in the song 'Yaad na jaae' in Dil ek Mandir. No 2 times is the same. Signs of a great caring singer.

Its unbelievable. This is the voice of God. Watching him singing it appears like he is miming the voice of a person who I have never seen before. I cannot happen to fit this voice with any face, not even his. No one can have such voice. It comes directly from heaven through this human being Rafi, the same as bibles have been sent to us by God through humans. That's the way I see it.

Sorry I made so many spelling mistakes last night as I was too sleepy writing about my feelings for Rafi Sahib which had touched our hearts in Malaysia. I am really appreciative that I got a chance to see his pictures, when my late Mum only heard his voice from "His Masters'Voice" records which I used to wind up for my Mum and danced for her when I was about four or five years old!

The best dream I ever had was one in which I was singing this song and my voice was exactly like Rafi, no more no less. It felt so easy and good. I was then abruptly woken up by my brother. He had the radio on and this song was playing. Voice like this you can only have in your dreams. And dreams like this you may have only once in a lifetime. I have always cursed my brother for not allowing me to sleep longer on that day.

I see from your profile how you love Rafi and his voice. To me, no songs ever get old. I find something new evey time I listen to a song. I cant stop analyzing the sentiments and feelings that Rafi put on some key words and phrases. Listen carefully in this song the different emphasis he put each time on the word 'dekha' after the phrase 'tumne mujhe'. He does the same thing on the word 'jaae' in the song 'Yaad na jaae' in Dil ek Mandir. No 2 times is the same. Signs of a great caring singer.

I feel enriched seeing this film. Rafi sahib was a great servant to humanity & my role model in life - he was blessed with a unique talent yet was full of humility - that's what drew the real affection of all - whatever their nationality, religion, colour, creed. It is a previlage to have lived in the same era - may god bless him, and may we all take some lessons from the examples he set.
