And no. it does not support an hdmi cable as u stated, but u do NOT need a converter to record in HD! when u put the AV cables in it records in HD(: (720p and 1080i) hope i helped

I found another great solution that you don't even need to have a PC connection. To be honest with you, your computer won't be able to handle the PVR's HD codecs. You proccessor just doesn't make it. If you want one that would work well with your computer, just get a dazzle or a eazy cap. Good luck!

To answer any questions:

1. With this PVR you can record and play video games in full HD (up to 720p or 1080i) at the same time.

2. This PVR cost around 200$ USD

3. You can record TV shows or movies

4. It comes with a Component cable ( Blue, Green, Red...)

5. If you want to record ps3 or xbox 360 you will need to purchase another component cable (10-15$ online)

6. Your computer must have a Duel Core processor. You will need a separate 3rd party program if you have a mac in order to use this PVR
