Lelouch's Geass doesn't have a time limit.

The author even gave a little funny backstory about the girl who was carving the crosses on the wall.

The geass activated only in daytime at Japan. She was moved back to the Britannia homeland in season 2 and she is being restrained because of the urge to get back to Japan and carve in the wall.

Everyone influenced under his Geass stays that way, it's just that Geass can only tell them what to do, not give them the power to do it.

@qXxDarkxXp geass can't do the impossible. they stated that pretty early in the series, although he told her to live, she was already going to die and since there isn't a way for her to live, she simple died like she was supposed to. Plus, shirley's death helped lulu grow asa character more and really make him dedicated to his cause
