If Carlsberg did helicopters,it definitely would NOT be the AW139.It's not even military spec and at one stage all six were grounded with tec problems.It's not soldierproof and is more suited to ferrying ministers around on jollies.Several police forces around Europe have rejected it as a surveillance/S.A.R. platform.

If they had there way, yes. The Irish Government however has always put the defense forces last in terms of financing and priority of all Government departments. I doubt that they would go for the F-18 if they had a pick though.
They would be more likely to by a European fighter, but I doubt that the Government will outfit the Air Corps with any combat capability in the near future.
some apaches or mi-28s would be nice, and maybe a few jets, our guys are going a great job good vid,
