That's fantastic. The song was brilliant, and I LOVED the twist at the end (poisoned spaghetti? Damn! Why didn't I think of that!) I'm pleased you won. I will now proceed to learn this song off by heart.
Part of the point of this particular video was to have a villain who was part pure evil, and part just some random guy who wasn't really anything special. I felt the name fit in well with that, since the costume, lair, and everything else is just thrown together without too much thought. If the name was overly creative, the character wouldn't seem as harmless.
Given the character, Mr. Terrible is a great name, it's just that in the light of this being a video in regards to Dr. Horrible, the name seems like a ripoff, whether it is or not.
It's like Mr. Pibb is to Dr. Pepper or Mountain Rush is to Mountain Dew.
That's what I was going for. My thought is that this guy is partially just posing as being evil, so knowing that Dr. Horrible is really evil, he would copy that name a bit to pretend like he was just as evil.
OK, so here's my question: does the fact that I've listened to your ELE application video multiple times on the DVD and YouTube (because it makes me happy every time I hear it) mean that I am evil, too? Or, does the joy your Gilbert & Sullivan-esque asides, understated humor and intricate rhyme scheme inspires mean that you are not actually evil after all? It's a quandary, isn't it?

Thanks for the kind words. I knew when putting the whole thing together I wouldn't have the time to do any fancy camera work, so I put most of my energy into getting the song the way I wanted it. Given more time, I would have done up the background music a bit more, but I think it all worked out well in the end.

I didn't know this was on youtube. You definitely deserved to be among the winners. This is one of my favorites, but really..with all the submissions, it's like trying to pick out the best doughnut in a bakery. They're all so good for different reasons! My goal with all of my music is to come up with something that sticks in your head (not you specifically, although I am sure you are a great person, and I certainly do want it to be stuck in your head as well, although not literally, because I can imagine having to remove anything from one's head would be quite painful without the proper surgical tools and numbing agents). Thanks for the kind words. I knew when putting the whole thing together I wouldn't have the time to do any fancy camera work, so I put most of my energy into getting the song the way I wanted it. Given more time, I would have done up the background music a bit more, but I think it all worked out well in the end.
