  • I used a NST rated at 6.5Kv

The largest gap I can apan is just a bit under an inch. Any hints or tips?

  • well 6.5kv can only jump so far,due to voltage a current... i have a 7.5KV 20ma NST that gives me pretty much an inch or a little over

  • That's awesome, Kevin! With 20kv, you could probably make the gap even wider! Where did you get a 20kv transformer from, anyway? That's pretty high for a neon transformer!

  • That's no neon xformer....that's 4 ignition xformers series-paralleled, running slightly overvolted primaries @ 150v :-D

  • What voltage is the transformer putting out?
