  • Don't get me wrong, I like Little Hell, but something was lost when Dallas traded the flannel and sneakers for funny pants and leather boots. This and all of Dallas's old, raw music > Little Hell, always.

  • Haha, it's been so long since I made this video! Liking how many views and how much love it's been gettin' since :). Don't remember people, you can download all Helicon Blue and C&C old songs in the torrent I uploaded on h33t, just check the description on Helicon Blue songs. Peace and love to all the Dallas Green lovers out there.

  • i am hudge

  • He makes me proud to be human.

  • <3

  • reminds me of A heartwell Ending kinda.

  • Through the American TV shows I often see Americans making fun of other countries and they mostly don't even know anything about that country... But TV is not the reality... or are many Americans really that stupid?^^

good song, one of his 10 best in my opinion.

  • @Dieuabv americans are stupid...i being one of them of course, americans are very biased and judgemental as a whole, thinking themselves better than others, i dont understand it, but it is what it is

  • @ximachimpx i know. I hate telling people im american. It makes me shutter.

  • @Uhhlaneuh Hey man, no need to shutter. Be proud of who YOU are! Forget about your country, religion, sexuality, whatever. Your average, stereotypical American is only that way because of preconceived notions that are bred within society, taught to our children in schools and spewed all over the mainstream media. Break free from that stuff and find your own truths! I'm Canadian, and I know I am damn lucky but even still... the world is screwed up right now. All you can do is change yourself. <3

  • @xXxDjShamblesxXx fuck yea brotha

  • Dallas Green has changed my life.

  • Eargasm

  • I don't get why Dallas doesn't produce every song he sings! The world deserves to hear them :)

  • @musicman509 Every song of his I have heard certainly deserves to be heard, but I wonder if the world really deserves to hear them!

  • @LivefromtheCloset7

this song was reworked into a song called constant knot, which is on the album bring me your love

  • a couple years ago i heard the song save your scissors after hearing that i can't get enough of city and colour!

  • I love how his flavor is so original, it's like experiencing a hamburger for the first time if your from France

  • @sbait3 I'm pretty sure that at least one French person must have stuck a lump of beef in between 2 pieces of bread long long before the USA was born , in fact i bet the American Indians where doing it hundreds of years before too !

  • @BigCityBreakdown

I like your style, but you're not even close to the levels that Dallas is entering

  • I have an acoustic solo project called Big City Breakdown and I am heavily influenced by City and Colour, so if you like Dallas Green then you should check out my channel :)

  • @BigCityBreakdown stop it

  • I wish he would've released this officially.

  • does anyone have a link or address to download these series of unreleased songs? I used to have them and now lost :(

  • @LIFEinSTRIFE try itunes mate :D the album is on there

  • i love his lyrics

i like both versions, but constant knot does not give me this special feeling. the vocals in this version are more emotional . 5/5

  • wikid tune

  • is this on any EPs i dont know about? i need it on my itunes..

  • @jamesxD94 Easiest way to get it on itunes is to type Youtube to Mp3 on G00G13 and use it to save the file into your itunes. That's what I do for the Indie bands i like.

  • this is incredible. Dallas Green, you never cease to shake me up.

  • september 29. 1980 was the second coming of jesus. the parents knew and wanted to keep it a secret. so they named him dallas green. however, they couldnt stop him from creating rediclously delightful music. so now here we are today, he just has to keep his beard a little bit shorter

  • @Popothechinchilla I'm an Athiest..

  • @pimpguitar1 Cool story, bro. So am I, but what you don't seem to realize is he's trying to make this thing called a 'joke'.

  • @Cairo9o9 I know he was.

  • @pimpguitar1 Then don't be an idiot.

  • @Cairo9o9 I'm not. Im just saying I'm an athiest. Don't try and be a tough guy. Haha. How about we don't fight and just enjoy the music.

  • @pimpguitar1 I agree

    PS I'm not

  • @Cairo9o9 I watched the CSS vid on your channel. Haha. those guys are awesome.. I play CS and CSS Too o.o

  • @pimpguitar1 Thanks, I'm actually in it (I'm the Envy, the guy who does the terrorist scream, says i love buttsecks, and does that weird scream) it was filmed by my friend Ryan. If you want you could hit me up on steam.

  • @Cairo9o9 Yeah, I might. I just got a new comp and am going to buy CSS soon. Ill let ya know.

  • my favorite dallas green song

  • I don't know if i like this one... :/

  • This is my favorite song by Dallas Green, the only thing i dont frigging understand is why there are no live videos of him playing this song.....pretty much every other song he plays he does a great live version why not this one? Anyways i guess its due to the intense skills it takes to play this song cause trust me ive tried, anyways i hope he plays this song sonner then later live cause im tired of hearing the recorded voice rather then his live voice!! JAMESON OUT!!

  • @JamsOpinion Well apparently this song was sort of rewritten or worked into Constant Knot. So it's not even really AROUND anymore. And trust me, Ik this is a hard song, but if he can play As much as I ever Could live, I'm pretty sure he's got this. Haha.

  • @JamsOpinion yeah like the other guy said, this song never made it onto a record.

  • we need more music like his today. raw simplicity and its good!!

  • He is the most incredible acoustic guitarist out there :D I love how he plays.

  • @KayySunshine check out John Butler, he's pretty great too. ..different style, but he can shred an 11 string like nobody's business. ..not saying he's better by any means though, i love Dallas!

  • @shaungates john butler is easily a better guitarist. although they're two different styled musicians.

  • his definately amazing both in alexisonfire and city and colour.

  • What tuning is this song in?

  • @ColourofHearts Sounds like Drop D to me.

  • @ColourofHearts i play this a whole step down (DGCFAD), sounds pretty close.

  • @xxhayward Thanks :)

  • AWESOME! I am a huge music fan. I listen to thousand of Musicians. Some more known some less. I searched for the ultimate song. I think, I've found it. I hate to say that sentence, I've never said this sentence but, in MY oppinion, this is the best song ever. If I say that, I mean it that way. I never said that before and will dare me to say that again. But honestly, this song, is awesome. Dallas Green is beside William Fitzsimmons my favourite living musician. They both share my #1. Love, marv.

  • @Marvinpoo omd thank u so much just check out william fitzsimmons omd he is so gd.

  • @streetfootballer100 for sure! no problem!

  • definitely the new jesus, i swear

he's amazing, best just the best

  • This sounds more like acoustic Alexis :L

  • @pummyjumpz You must be listening wrong.

This is nothing like acoustic Alexis.

  • @DarrenC1991 I meant like the sound and feel of the song, doesn't sound like typical City and Colour. I thought it sounded more like an Alexis type song :L

  • @pummyjumpz Ohhhh, I kinda get you.

I thought you were just some newfag trying to claim City and Colour is just like an acoustic Alexis in general.

    My bad dude.

  • all the good music never gets any credit.

  • @hghooaweeee what do you mean? I gave Dallas few bucks for his CDs, so he has some credits from me =P

  • @hghooaweeee thats called indie my friend

  • So true!

  • @hghooaweeee Right i mean who are the Beatles? Oh and you can find city and colour playing in your local starbucks radio

  • @hghooaweeee Right i mean who are the Beatles? Oh and you can find city and colour playing in your local starbucks radio

  • amazing

    thats all i can say

  • 3 idiots missed the like button

  • he really deserves so much more popularity than all the shit that everyone listens to now

  • Dallas Green,what a man..what a man.

  • I like Constant Knot, but this song is so fucking intense it's unbelievable.

  • He can use the same lyrics in two songs.. yet they sound completely different.

    kinda friggen amazing.

  • @stevestonvet well i think this may havve been one of his "basement recordings" from when he was younger because he took mostof the songs he though were acceptional and recorded them

  • proud to be canadian :)

  • i like this more than Constant Knot

  • This is awesome.

  • I put my capo on the 3rd fret and form Em chord, then slowly move my finger on the D string up the frets only, while plucking the chord with downstrokes. It sounds alot like it, but he just is using a heavy gauge string guitar.

  • sick song, love the tempo which is faster than his usual

  • Emotions pur <3

  • I wonder what's the tuning for this song?

  • @Rockerchixx07 its standard..maybe drop D..yea pretty sure its dropped

  • Really Like The Guitar In This One, Very Nice, Almost Like An Alexis Song.

  • This songs Constant Knot aint it?

  • Is the beginning of this from another song? A slow one from Bring me your love.

  • On which CD do I find this song?

I've got Bring me your love and Sometimes.

  • can somebody plz send me the picture?

    thank u in advance :)

  • i sent yu a link, right click and save :)

  • @MatiatosK

send it to me too plz :>

  • i love the image, where did you get it from.. i like to have dallas as my desktop all the time.. hes amazing!!!! amazing song!!

  • This song is so fun to play!

  • @Michaelridesabike

dude i totally agree...i just learned it and i can't stop playing it

  • This song is later "rewritten" into Constant Knot. Both are awesome in their own ways tho :)

  • I've been listening to this song for years and I love it. Very different from Constant Knot.

  • @Immacculate

    Actually it isnt

he re uses one line..other than than that the songs share no similarity what so ever..

  • @Wittminator

I met dallas green after an alexisonfire show. We got talking about c&c. I once watched an interwiew with him where he says that he loves to take a song/riff etc and use it in making a new one.

And too me, he said that he took the line from this sudden injury and used it in Constant knot because it was one of those line he felt connected to, he didnt' feel the same way for the rest of the song. That's why it aint in any album.

Took what he liked and made a meaningful song instead.

  • @Immacculate I'd prefer this to Constant Knot, any day. But Constant Knot is good too

  • 3:59 is so explosive, its amazing!

  • Awesome

  • this is the man. <3

  • This almost reminds me John Frusicante's stuff for some reason.

  • maybe of something from "shadows collide with people" ?

  • @someoneisme1121

that is sooo weird i was thinking that john and dallas collaborating would be absolutely insane john is my favourite and dallas is my up and coming 2nd favourite :) great minds think alike :P
