  • my man, if u have a lady that don't like this, well, u need a new one

  • Always good life music for all walks of life, God Bless

  • my favorite jt song ever. it looks like 9 people need someone to pee pee in there ears to open them up a little maybe. again, great song.

  • @FREEALIST LMAO! Ok. I've read a million digs at the "dislikers" on all these YT clips, but this one takes the cake! :D

  • I love all of these stories. My connection to this song doesn't have much to do with drugs or even romance at all. My Dad always used to sing it when I was a kid. I remember sitting on his shoulders in Mexico going hiking and he would sing it while my Mom was close by. Or at least some James Taylor song.

  • I appreciate all of your lovely stories, it warms my heart <3 thank you for sharing!

  • who cares if people disliked the song music affects everyone in a different way and yes their are people who think this is terrible music but if you do like it don't hate on those people for not like the song. just continue to enjoy the music and let it take its effect on you.

  • 7 dislikes...give me a break. fuck them

  • @platter1000 7 people don't feel fine

  • @Letsgobobcats

Ah the youths of today!!! can you people not just sit back and enjoy beautiful music. Just listen to the smooth blend of voice and instruments, especially when you can pick out the acoustic guitar

    Saidou, from Yaounde Cameroon

  • Me and my wife had our first dance to this song nearly 9 years ago.

  • what's with people always connecting music to drugs. there is more to poetics then mere frivolities

  • Take out of it whatever you want - each to their own.

  • It's a shame that so many of these comments have to focus on drugs. This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. That's all.

  • @ARCHER2740

    The Archer,

I agree with you. This is good music, and should be listended to carefully. Let's get the song for what it is : a beautiful song

    Saidou, from Yaounde Cameroon.

  • @ARCHER2740 I agree. Maybe I missed something, but to me this is a song about a woman friend or lover. Seems a major stretch to think he's talking about heroin.

  • Yes,

Something in the way she does her things... And I hope that feeling will last.

    Saidou, from Yaounde Cameroon

  • 6 people don't like what is TRULY 20th century American music classics...screw 'em. Is no educating some folk...

  • I always wondered if this was a song about heroin.... never made me love it any less... :}

  • Wish the song was a little longer! Amazing though!

  • Simply the very best!

  • Excelent Song! Thank to James from ARGENTINA

  • This stupid commercial lasted forever! Damn you, Youtube!

  • George Harrison "borrowed" the first line for the first line in his song "Something". Paul McCartney has always confused the two songs. In the Anthology, he refers to George's song "Something In The Way She Moves".

  • Touched my heart. I have someone who thinks of me this way

  • Thank you James for filling my heart and childhood with so many amazing memories. your voice touches my heart and you songs take me back to happy times. <3

  • A dear friend of mine said this is one of the songs that remind him of me....when I listened to it after that it was as if it was the first time I heard it. You just never know the effect you have on people...

  • James Taylor has always been such a treasure of great, classic music! What person that truly loves great music like this doesn't have some great James Taylor song that they love!? Sincerely, bobbyK

  • kill whitey

  • This is almost a song, it has all the required elements, but not quite in order.

  • Never knew who was Jame Taylor, grew up listening to Patty Labelle, Aretha Franklin, now Jay-Z! But one day in a dream i was guided to listen to his soulful music, and for that im blessed.

  • This is a Beatles song: Leave it alone. It was fine before this.

  • @kentfoxx Only the first 6 words are the same, but I'll forgive you because you're obviously deaf. Good luck out there!

  • @Bearalroll haha..., and blind...

  • @kentfoxx

    Shows how much you know

The Beatles played their version after James Taylor performed it in front of them; that's how he got his career started.

  • @kentfoxx lmao keep up the good work hero.

  • @kentfoxx this was not a beatles song. gorge harrison wrote a song with the same title and its a totally different song. both originals. know before you talk

  • love-ly James...sweet Baby James...

  • sounds like peter paul and mary...

  • @RSPKPUR3 ummm, no.

  • el es el rey de la poesia campirana...

  • My mom used to listen to him when I was little. Someone recently reintroduced me to him and I can't stop listening to him now.

  • I've been clean from Heroine for almost 3 years, don't get me wrong I have always loved this and other songs of James Taylor, although it is the closest I get to feeling someone knew how it felt at the time. P.s. Don't go there, eh! Music and Love are the drug.

  • @lynn67881 good for you my freind my freind is also struggling to kick his habit atthe moment it is a harsh world this glad you came out at the other end all the best for the future

  • @lynn67881 You go girl = )

  • @lynn67881 im forever grateful your clean. ive been clean for almost 3 years myself. just curious you havnt realized its spelled heroin not heroine. not like it matters.. just very rare to here from a fellow heroin user. glad your clean though. never go back!

  • @lynn67881 Dear , I wish you health to keep yourself clean to enjoy music, inner peace

and life and freedom to be yourself how you are without the need of abuse drugs.

  • My husband picked this song for the recessional at our wedding. I had picked Etta James' "At Last" for the processional.

  • This is also ....so me and my wife!

  • This is my all time favorite song. Thanks James.

  • I went to the James Taylor concert in Birmingham this year and the man is legend. Shivers down my spine

  • i am a black teenager, and i love james taylor. the man has all kinds of fans.

  • @datdude131432 I'm a black grandmother and I've loved jt since I was a teenager. His music is universal..

  • i took my 8 yr old son to see James and Ben Taylor in march of this year, we even had his picture taken with both after the show!

  • @tbroofer ..Wow ..that will be something to treasure...we are going to see james in dublin in july....I would love the same chance to have a photo with him.....Congratulations

  • Osama Bin Laden watched this video once on each of his three YouTube accounts

  • @youranswerman Yeah, that what he was doing when the Navy Seals broke down the door!

  • @albatross7677 ...Now he's listening to "Something in the way he doesn't move" ; )..except when the sea-slugs are having brunch..

  • Thanx James... and you too my friend.

  • Thanx James... and you too my friend.

  • how lovely is this song......must be a nice feeling to be able to feel this way...about someone...I guess they call it love.....James Taylor knows exactly how to hit the spot

  • Linda, been missing you ever since i got home and what i miss about being with you the most is EVERYTHING!!!!

  • it´s such a beautiful song...love it ♥

  • The phrasing, timing and harmonies seem to be very English....maybe its the scale used.that gives it that 'feel' to this beautiful song....Willie nelson 'city of new Orleans'....the backing singers sound like French canadians....It's just something that sounds vaguely familiar....anyone else.?..listen to simon and garfunkle 'Scarborough fair. obviously an English folk song and has a similar sad or wistful feel....I saw james Taylor in England...words can't descibe how good he is.......liverpool.

  • I don't need heroin to get that ultra mellow feel - I got James Taylor

  • The Carly Simon harmonies just give me chills. A masterpiece!

  • ONE WORD BRILLIANT=]

  • @pianoman125 that was three words, idiot

  • she's always with me

  • JT can warm hearts so specially! Dancing went well today, choreographed some new dance moves at college despite being out for two days with a stomach germ. Life is always better and you get a brand new perspective when you are not throwing up! I go to classes with college age kids and they carry all kind of interesting bugs! LOL.Takes more than that to keep a strong, determined and energetic woman down.* I am so so happy to discover by chance one of my truest friends has started to move forward!

  • JT can really warm the heart like nobody else, especially if you are from Carolina. Born a southern girl and I love every mile of the old north state. After being slowed down a little from 48 hours of food poisoning, up early to choreograph and dance my heart out at college today. There's nothing like throwing up that makes you appreciate life when it stops! I care deeply for everyone who checks on me here and appreciates this music I elect. Very happy to see one of my friends truly moving on. xo

  • its so special to have someone in your life like this song talks about, but ut is pure hell when you lose them. god help me. great song

  • this song is about James Taylor's heroin addiction. just listen closely. lol tards

  • @everwonder80 : too bad you use the word "tards." You must be young.

  • For all the women that like to sing along and are thinking about someone they love, just substitute "he" for "she" in the lyrics!

  • He is wonderful in concert. If you ever get a chance to see him live, do it!

  • My husband picked this song for our recessional .............. when I heard it ahead of time I just broke down crying because I had found such a wonderful man. 12 years later he's still the most wonderful husband a woman could want.

  • wow...

  • This song reminds me of the special friendship I have with my dear friend Audrey

  • Paul and George heard a demo and got him onto Apple because of this song. James is the first and he could make a horrible case of whooping cough sound like a choir of angels. Love him always.

  • This is a response to @THB79- You sir are an absolute idiot. They are two completely different songs. This songs underlying feeling must completely escape you. I like the beatles-but no one compares to JT

  • James Taylor wrote this song before George Harrison did his... James t was on the Beatles label and they play on this song...George and Paul on the original...after George heard this song it inspired him to write his song...that is how it went not the other way around...

  • James Taylor wrote this song before George Harrison did his...james t was on the Beatles label and they play on this song...George and Paul on the original...after George heard this song it inspired him to write his song...that is how it went not the other way around...

  • great song, beautiful lyrics - it says it all. The man is a genius

  • this is not "something in the way she moves."

  • @uselessjoe yes it is

  • @uselessjoe Then what is it?

  • @THB79 I heard the beatles sing this and it aint the same

  • @uselessjoe The Beatles sang the song "Something". This is an entirely different song which would be evident because the title is "Something In The Way She Moves", not simply, "Something". You must not be a fan of either.

  • @THB79 but I do know plagerism when I see it; he took the line from the beatles song as you are so astutely aware

  • @uselessjoe There is no plagiarism in songwriting. You're talking about copyright infringement. George had JT's blessing to use the line. It doesn't matter anyway, you cannot copyright a song title, only the lyrics and melody as a whole. You many songs do you think say "I love you" or "I Woke up this morning" or "I can't live without you, baby" or "Let's run away together" or "You' mean everything to me"...and on and on and on. the two songs are nothing a like but for the first line.

  • @onetondrumbum I hate to break the news to you; but George Harrison died years ago; so if Taylor talked to him it was at church cause he is dead

  • @uselessjoe What the hell are you talking about? The is the song that got JT signed to Apple records, the record label owned by he Beatles. The original version of this song was written in the mid 60's and recorded at Trident Studios in between recording session for the Beatles White album. Paul McCartney played bass and sang backup along with George on "Carlina on My Mind" too. George/The Beatles recorded "Something" a year after James Taylor recorded "Something in The Way She Moves".

  • @onetondrumbum I think you have lost your mind..next thing you will be making up stories about Eric Clapton and Jeff Lynne all buddies...lmao...and by the way, I was talking to Honey Lantree the other day..she said "Hi."

  • @uselessjoe James Taylor was friends with George for decades before he died, since George and the rest of the Beatles signed him to "Apple", their record label, in 1968.

  • this might well be my favorite song.

  • i think of this song every time im with my girl :D

  • Suberb is an understatement!!! JT= pure genius. This man has stolen my heart!

  • @dingokills the identity of the woman has never been revealed, speculations are a former girlfriend, maybe former wife carly simon or a nurse when taylor was being treated at McLean hospital for depression.

never heard it being about someone who died, not sure if the tense of the lyrics would fit in with that.

  • "It isn't what she's got to say, or how she thinks or where she's been.To me, the words are nice the way they sound.I like to hear them best that way-it doesn't matter much what they mean, but she says them mostly to calm me down......and I feel fine anytime she's around me now...." :) This song is just so beautiful. Both music and words. I have had a migraine since about noon yesterday, I haven't been able to sleep. At 4am,at my wits end, I put this on and it helped calm me down...alot.

  • "I feel fine anytime she's around me now-She's around me now, almost all the time. And if I'm well, you can tell that she's been with me now-She's been with me now...quite a long, long time......and I feel fine" :) I think of my daughter...<3

  • She's been with me now quite a long, long time. Now, and i feel fine :)

  • James is the best for calming the crazy world out of my mind. Thanks James!!!

  • ah.. this is too beautiful.

  • lov this guitar. and lov how much spirit this guy has

  • I absolutely love this song .... the lyrics are so beautiful.

How wonderful to be love and be loved with this sentiment ...

  • This is so me and my wife!

  • @comic156e Here we a re a year later divorced. What were the odds. Oh well life goes on.

  • @comic156e life is funny that way. I was with the love of my life for 12 years. over now and life does indeed go on. sometimes sweetness is once again found. good luck!

  • @joejoe197679 Thanks I needed to hear that. It still stings a little. :-)

  • @comic156e very happy for you both

  • I still so much love her, but what can I do

  • @lbreaux1961 horrible isn't it :(

  • pure butta! Love love love anything JT does!!!!

  • Nobody warms the heart quite like James. Superb !

  • this is the song i played for my wife at our wedding.

  • Wonderful song and one of my favourites, thanks for this great sounding original version.

  • WONDERFUL

  • one of the best songs ever

  • He wrote it but I like Mathews Southern Comfort's version better.
