@hejafish - picture is from a 1940 film called The Great Dictator directed by Charlie Chaplin, It was about a dictator (most likely modeled off of Hitler) changing his ways for the greater good of humanity. Look it up.
Dallas radio in the 90s truly missed out on all the fun that was "loaded" in this music...;-) Good days now, but better then; just be sure to remember that in 20 years.
Don't waste the space here, comparing these guys to The Rolling Stones 'cause they don't sound anything like the Stones. Almost every modern Rock & Roll band will have some shread of influence from Mick and the boys, just as the Stones had influences from Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, and the original Blues masters who pre-dated them.
I FOUND IT! I always loved this song and never knew who sang it. I must've been asleep at the wheel all those times I heard it on the radio. I don't drive anymore.
i came up with a theory that involves the book of genesis (fig leaves) buddha (sitting under the bodhi fig tree) jesus (many sayings about figs) ross horne's book (new health revolution) and science (figs are the most important source of food for fruit eating rainforest animals). i then experimented on the figs by eating mainly dried figs (same brand) for 6 years now and found cycles which i related to the numbers i found in chps 11/12 of the book of revelations. this theory has gone everywhere
@figbat1 Well, I don't want to encourage you too much but... figs contain serotonin. I think they are the only fruit to have it(?) Serotonin levels in our brain directly affect our perception of reality. e.g. LSD messes with serotonin balances and causes (mostly harmless) trips. But eating figs won't get you high. Doesn't work that way. The fig tree was symbolic anyway (isn't everything?)
@funkyfunker So should I be - never so healthy as when i went out dancing twice a week . I mostly ignored my fellow punters but was told later they used to watch me hovering half an inch above the ground . Maybe that's why they used to let me in for free -
Used to listen to this every day on my way to college, my first few months that is, it was for some reason always played at the same time in the Coach
