@Ripafartstudios I forgot 13 year olds can really be a pain in the ass. Listen, kid, the answer to all the questions you asked are right in front of you. All you have to do is look. People aren't going to do stuff for you, and I'm no exception. The internet is right here, use it well.
@Ripafartstudios Why don't you look up the ingredients on the bottle of your medication and do a little bit of research? I bet you'll also find that the combined ingredients of your medication costs about 20¢-$5.00. Do you honestly think that your pills are synthetic? Come on, bro, 13 years old or not, grow up. No more insults, okay?
@Ripafartstudios Dope? Are you literally that insulted? I know you're not that stupid, as to suggest that I mean weed solves everything. I don't partake in the use of weed, and never recommend anyone use it for any reason. I know weed doesn't cure shit, it's an abused plant that tricks people into thinking their problems go away. Having said that, all pills are derived from plants, regardless, so, in a sense, plants cure all problems. Again, specific plants - like weed - aren't in that category.
@Ripafartstudios YOU DON'T NEED THAT TO SURVIVE! This is what I'm talking about! Everybody like to admit that they don't know everything when there is no specific example, but as soon as you name something personal - they're the most knowledgable person to speak on it besides their doctor! Bro, you are very ignorant and a drama queen. Their are natural remedies for what you have, the doctors just want to to pay for pills because they get a little kick-back cash-flow.
@Ripafartstudios Again, inbred insult aren't going to get me to listen to you. I advise you grow up a little bit, in mind, and treat people with respect. When I responded to NZappletech, I did so because of the perception that a name "drug store" is worse than a "pharmacy." They both sell drugs, which are harmful to people and animals: I did it because I care about people, in general.
Oh, but keep calling me queer, because it's bad to be gay, huh? It's 2011, it's always okay to be gay.
@Ripafartstudios hahahaha I disgust you? I wasn't even talking to you at first; you just interject into the conversation lol. Next, having interjected yourself where you didn't belong, you decide to take on a sarcastic tone. Did you think acting sarcastic would make me like you? Thirdly, you decided to not only continue the sarcasm, but insult me at the end of your second response. So, yeah, I saw you overreacting and played along, also overreacting. Uneducated, sexist moron... ^-^v
I think that Macs should be tablet stuff cause of all of the apps in the app store now. Trackpads are just way to bad. Troll touch is expensive. 600$. no way im spending that.
@exod4 Linux is great but there must be some reason why computer manufactures don't use it. I also think the Chromebooks could do with a bit more of an operating system and Android would be great.
@SqeakyGoldfish Too much tech-knowhow needed, slick Microsoft PR, Windows is the defacto standard or simply inherited monopoly, Compatibility issues Linux-Windows in software when collaborating because isn't compatible with most of the software and hardware on the market so would be a hassle for your average user trying to find drivers, etc... Simply put there are too many noobs in this world.
@xxxpanheadxxx But the Kindle Fire doesn't have a physical keyboard and mouse. Some people might not like touch screens. I think the Asus Eee Pad Transformer is a great alternative to a netbook and a great start for getting Android on a PC.
Have you not heard of the Android-x86 project? It is aiming to put android on x86 netbooks such as the eeepc. They have a current nightly build of Ice Cream Sandwich that you can test out using virtualbox, if you don't have a supported device. happy hacking.
@lockergnome Yes, but they have it working on hardware, I just don't have that hardware. AMD is donating hardware to the group, and the dev really are doing a great job. I can ibstall the amazon app store, and install many apps. Games are troublesome, however, due to many of them using Androids NDK to write bare metal code, which runs on ARM only. This should soon change, as the newer versions of the NDK allow devs to target multiple cpu architectures.
@Ripafartstudios Me thinks the lady might be overreacting, but I'll play along. Oxymoron aside, yes, in this area, I, apparently, am more insightful than you. See, I don't take a pill for every problem that arrives. Hell, I don't take any pills. I follow natural remedies, which is what pills are based off of. I don't get sick because I eat right. And if you can't stop having seizures......maybe it's god saying you weren't supposed to live through them?
@Ripafartstudios Yeah, prevents you from getting seizures, cuts your life short by 25 years because of some "undetected" side effect. And you voluntarily pay for that overpriced garbage because your doctor really cares for you.......not that the ingredients only cost a couple cents per day to collect......not that there aren't more healthier alternatives.
I would never use Android as a desktop operating system. No file manager application, touching a vertical surface is asinine (Apple agreed), and it is not entirely open source. As Google's operating system it is a giant piece of spyware. Tech corporations ranged from most evil to less evil: Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Sony, Nintendo.
Man, Im gona get the galaxy nexus for Verizon and root it so I can remove bloatware(b/c Verizon is a dick and puts bloatware on what's suppose to be pure google phone) and just to piss Verizon off Ill get free tethering!(Other than bloatware and Lte I think its the same as the other gn's.)
Watching this video was a waste of time. Particularly because the android emulator is used for development specifically and the architecture Windows was built for is different from ARM CPU's hence the incompatibility. A tablet OS is not the same as a desktop OS, if they were, apps would be easily transferable but they aren't but that's more based on program language than OS and using the libraries specific for that device...anyway just thought i should let you know...so you can give a better ans
@SqeakyGoldfish there is a cheap alternative to Windows .. Its called Linux (-_-) .. and its FREE! .. android is actually linux based .. and there are about a 1000 differant versions for you to chose ..
I actually disagree with you Chris. Out of all the tablets or mobile OS, I think Android would probably work the best on a PC. Plus Honey Comb is on Google TV and the apps work on it seamlessly. You can't get any closer to a desktop experience than Google TV. Plus Android has support for USB hosting integrated.
You can run Android on an ARM Processor which can be connected to monitor and other peripherals like mouse and key board, example :Panda Board see this to know more!![/watch?v=MG7l0epRkTs&feature=channel_video_title]

@NZappletech It's probably what he meant, but I fail to see WHY he would do that. Android is basically Linux, so just install Linux on your PC and maybe change the GUI to look like Android?
For $139 in Canada, you can get the Novo 7 which is a 1.5GHz Android Gingerbread tablet, yes capacitive screen and all the other fancy features. Only $139. Can't go wrong. HDMI out, WiFi, everything you'd expect. Similar look and feel to the Kindle Fire but running stock Gingerbread.

Where can you get an Android Emulator? I'd like the latest version (Android 4.0).
Is it possible to get it without all the extra shit (Eclipse, Android SDK, etc.)?
Well, I already have Eclipse...
