Why would you be bracket racing a 8-9 sec car anyway? Its built for heads up racing. Ofcourse the 60 ft prob isnt stellar, it was most likely a 1.5 but what it lacks on the short track it more than makes up on the big end. oh and this same car pulled a 8.83 on a 24.5 slick in november

So you guys do understand that drag racing timing starts from the moment you actually leave right? You can sit there for 10 seconds with a green light if you really wanted to and it wouldn't add to your ET. The winner is defined by ET + RT = total time. You get an accurate ET for you, then your reaction time (RT) is added to your time to compute the winner. Basically, whoever gets to the finish line first wins. You can actually run a slower ET but leave sooner and still win.

actually a 200whp fwd and rwd deliver the same power. hense the whp term. what ya ment to say was, comparing a 200hp ( as in produced at the crank) fwd and rwd vehicle. As the the fwd will deliver more power to the wheel because of efficiency in the transmition. transfering power should the drive shaft and then rotating it 90 degrees to go to the rear tires is a large power draining physics problem. Thats mainly why fwd is more "efficient" in that respect. The tq stays in the same direction
