This is a great example of the magic of music. I like this song but I am far from a KOL fan. Carla Bruni and her band look in awe at KOL here because of the magic they create. Nothing feels as cool as other musicians digging your vibe. They know how difficult it is to put your feelings to sound - or - as a counter point - how easy it is. It just depends if what you lay down as a song translates to regular people.

If you go off their influences then this is Rock, and their earlier stuff has blues influences aswell. Rock/Blues Hybrid, that happens to be popular.... yey....

Pop gets it name from the word "popular" i.e. a popular band / Artist / Song. So Rap artists who are "popular" can be classed as "pop" althought this is not the common way people define "pop" music....... Which is bent.
