WOW. Choreography was great: movement of dancers very well timed to the music, better than some other performances I've seen on YT. Anyone know where this was performed?
the part from 5:50 through 5:30 ....... and then frin 8:19 through 8:50 has music and rhythm akin to horseback riding ........and not dancing ......... Borodin has that in his musical notes.
And knowing that this was originally going to be Neon Genesis Evangelion's introduction music... Would have prepared viewers for things to come, though.
I thought it was probably the original Fokine choreography. From around the turn of the 20th Century. I wonder how close to the original tribal dances these might be, if at all. After all, no tribes dance to symphonic music. But it does have genuine moments of choreographic and visual excitement.

@JuniorNC yeah, well, this music is quite difficult to play... it was a cute mistake though! acting like it wasn't a mistake!
strings and brass also gets a little bit messed up each other after that too. Everyone is so busy at the moment X^)

The vocalists that sings with this one are pretty good. Those altos were AWESOME!!! Wish the altos in MY school's choir were that good....

Many thanks for posting this magnificent spectacle. So rich. The choral work, the costumes, the dancing. Yum.

WHERE'S THE BARITONE SOLO?!?!?!
Other than that great performance. Great job, altos!
CharlieBladeRemus 3 years ago
Yes I was wondering. Conspicuously missing. Even the Character of Prince Igor (although he never sings in this piece) is missing from the piece....

I definitely do not understand the choreography, it seems so girly and just stupid. Why would any warrior dance like that.
