  • Talvez o ballet mais bonito de ópera. A música e a coreografia são também maravilhosas.

  • sword of etheria

  • 5 dislikes?

5 ignorant poor souls on the world

  • Bravo!!! I love it! I simply love it!! Greetings to all my Russian friends from Houston, Texas, U.S.A.

  • that stuff at the end doesn't fit

  • WOW. Choreography was great: movement of dancers very well timed to the music, better than some other performances I've seen on YT. Anyone know where this was performed?

  • @Purplecatsoup30

    The Mariinisky

  • @bwoodsfinest forgive my ignorance, but I presume in Russia?

  • @Purplecatsoup30

That's not an ignorant question and yes Russia...They're also referred to more commonly as The Kirov ...

  • what a great opera!

  • Gracias por compartir . Saludos

با تشکر برای به اشتراک گذاری. با احترام

  • 2.36 what happened with the flute?? it desapear

  • @jelasvarceneger Glad I am not the only one that noticed. I think the flute player messed up twice.

  • @JuniorNC yeah, well, this music is quite difficult to play... it was a cute mistake though! acting like it wasn't a mistake!

strings and brass also gets a little bit messed up each other after that too. Everyone is so busy at the moment X^)

  • the part from 5:50 through 5:30 ....... and then frin 8:19 through 8:50 has music and rhythm akin to horseback riding ........and not dancing ......... Borodin has that in his musical notes.

  • How can I find the russian version of this song? I need the name of the song, or a youtube link.

  • @MyTubeBerko Borodin Prince Igor. This particular piece is Polovtsian Dances ( posted by danielstephenjohnson )

you will find words in comments:

    Uletaj na kryl'jach vetra

Ty v kraj rodnoj rodnaja pesnja nasa

tuda gde my tebja svobodno peli

gde bylo tak privol'no nam s toboju

  • @MyTubeBerko Бородин - Половецкие пляски

  • simple y llanamente: hermosa!

  • And knowing that this was originally going to be Neon Genesis Evangelion's introduction music... Would have prepared viewers for things to come, though.

  • really? that an interesting fact =O

  • @Gilboron

    I don't think people know.

  • Those are some epic altos! The wind section could be cleaner...amazing performance!

  • great!

this makes me dance like a wild russian bear. ;-)

  • The vocalists that sings with this one are pretty good. Those altos were AWESOME!!! Wish the altos in MY school's choir were that good....

  • Many thanks for posting this magnificent spectacle. So rich. The choral work, the costumes, the dancing. Yum.

  • I thought it was probably the original Fokine choreography. From around the turn of the 20th Century. I wonder how close to the original tribal dances these might be, if at all. After all, no tribes dance to symphonic music. But it does have genuine moments of choreographic and visual excitement.

  • WHERE'S THE BARITONE SOLO?!?!?!

Other than that great performance. Great job, altos!

  • Yes I was wondering. Conspicuously missing. Even the Character of Prince Igor (although he never sings in this piece) is missing from the piece....

  • Hermoso!!! ademas las doncellas cantantes y bailarinas me hacen llorar

  • Ohh! SKIP 32 MEASURES IN 7:02!

  • Whoa! Your right! And whatever happened to the baritone (Khan Konchak) solo?

  • Thrilling production! Excellent. Love the costumes, the music and Fokine's choreography!
