Who can dislike this? such an amazing band and it is so sad that they don't come like this anymore. Just pure and utter crap nowadays; rock is losing its soul to commercial garbage.
This song didn't get any airplay in the hick town that I live in, but I managed to catch it on KISW in Seattle, Wa. About 20 years ago. They played One Inch Man By Kius(?) right after it . Flowed together perfectly. I have it on a casette. That's why I remember it.
I got out this album after a while of not listening to it and i started with jessie. I nearly cried from it. The lyrics and feel to the verse seem demented, then suddenly a melodic chorus that screams teen angst and loneliness tears through. A true master piece hidden from the public eye. Beautiful song, amazing what the dog must have mean to him
Agreed completely, i felt nearly the same way as you... the verse lines are pure hard rock machinery, and then the chorus takes down your defenses in a way that left me speechless... Man, I f*cking miss the 90s so much...
Play with the dog, play with the dog, oh scratch my ear, please play with me. Oh jessie its cold outside and im not coming home. jessie your a good dog please dont follow me, just go on home... frickin song about his dog jessie.
I never thought I would find this. Me and a friend were travling the country and met these guys in '94, they gave us Dragline and we lsitned to it over and over as we travled across the US. Fun times and a great band!!
@BejnXander im a big fan of both love battery and paw i didnt care how big they got it didnt matter to me either way.i still would have listened anyway dragline and straight freak ticket are two of the best album ever made
