  • sorry but what the hell are you doing!! know wonder why he is doing that when you are spinning him like you are. you can see he is getting stressed out and then to top it off when he does actually stand there is no praise you kick him on what do you expect him to do this poor horse is getting mixed signals and then to go and do it again after he has just done that and shown you he is unhappy really dont know what you were thinking. at least train him nicely and give him praise and reward.

  • number 1 if you didn't see it says no crit please-

number 2. you were not there- you don't know anything about the horse so you cant sit there and judge.

my teacher is pulling his head down with one hand - resting her other on his neck-everytime she felt him tensing up a sign of him rearing she tried to pull his head a round to he side so he couldn't through his head up to fly buck!

when he's standing he's still tensing up and is not relaxing as he wants rear but shes asking him to walk on

  • *the

he wont walk on un-les she gives him the reins so he can rear- so she kicking him to walk on and give in- thats why there's no praise.

i was 15 we had only just got him and during a training day and reared with me for no reason when we were told he was a vice free horse- when i rode him at training i did not know how to keep his head down and he still reared with me. my teacher that day then got on him and 20 parents are us were gob smacked at how he reared and fly bucked that was october

  • this video is from march- i missed the first rear on video he did when she was just walking around and she was not holding his head down- so he's not rearing because of holding his head. he's spinning around because thats the only way she can keep his head twisted to the side- would you put some one of 15 on a horse like that- even 3 teachers who rode him at different times and he did the same thing with them all said i was the worse thing they had sat on and they ride troubled horses!

  • anyway we dont have him anymore after having two horses die - we didn't really feel like having a vice horse for my last horse- we finally got his old owners to take him back!! he was 12- and i did love him and

i have not wanted to sound rude but your comment did hurt me as you dont know what he was like. he was a lovely horse every other way- thank you

  • thats so similar to my pony, except he was a lot smaller so was not as near as bad! he was my first pony and had sight rearing problems! another pony did this out cross-country and hunting when asked to stand, luckily didn't do the bucking bit! but if you don't mind me asking how did you sell him if he does that? naughty pony, he looked lovely otherwise! beautiful pony and riding!

  • @beautifulmandc we told his old owners that they had sold us a horse with a vice told them we would take it further if they didn't do anything about it... they finally said they would have him back :)

  • bloody hell, i never knew a horse could jump like that, looked so weird and you din bloody well to stay on, god totally shocked :L xxx

  • @wranglerluv, sorry i dont get when your talking about in the film . before he rears my friend is pulling his head around so he can't have his head to rear, at the same time he's fighting against this and wants his head. when he rears what was un-expected as she's never ridden him before , when she lands she is just un-seated as any one would be and pulls on the reins for balance but comes off anyway :) anyway he's been sent back to his old owner :)

  • what do you mean ' why the hell pull back when they rear?'

  • @Brittzo1

just a question. y would u sell him if he only reared when u did c-x? just stop doing it if thats the problem. i agree with wranglerluv. do that and she wont rear. or i smashed a water balloon on my horses head so when he reared he thought he hit his head on something and was bleeding so he never reared again.

  • @horsesrmylifeilt : i do pony club which you do x-c out side, also he only does it when he was on grass.. not in an arena... why should a misbehaving horse stop me from doing what i want to do... also he was sold to me after having a horse put down and another horse who was lame and we said we wanted a confidence giver... we paid good money for him, at being 12 years old this vice was not told to us we had been sold a horse with a vice... he was sold back to the old owners in march so he's gone!

  • Omg! How can they sell a horse that does that and hope the new owner wont pick up on it .. silly people! x

  • @BethanyWoo01 :) i know

  • OOOH MY GOSH!!!!!! Well Done for coping with that, and landing on your feet I see? Tres Bien!!! Wasnt expectign that :') xxx

  • @DaniiLovesU my teacher rode him in this video but he did the same with me... :) yeah still cant belive he did that :)

  • bluddy hell!

  • nope .. near bury... thankfully we got all the money back but we told them we would take them too court if they didn't do anything :) thank you

  • You didnt buy him from a lady called Rachel Millier from Wales did you? Shes the one i got mine from and yes, she said the same stuff. I only paid £1,400 for him as a 2 year old and she wanted him back for £600!!! I found out she got him from beaston!! Hope you find a pony as nice as him but a lot safer

  • I was sold the same problem. PEOPLE cant be botherd with a problem horse so they sell them as a PERFECT horse who turns out a bloody nightmare. Mine kicked me in the face a few days after i got him. Had him 3 years now and hes attacked my mum and got me kicked off a livery yard for attacking a woman in the field. Had him blood tested by the vet to see if he had been gelded correctly and all came back fine. Hope your ok and sort him out xx

  • @milliesos :) he was sent back to his old owners.. they still say he behaved with them..... but by the footage you can tell its not true

  • i have the exact same problem with my horse atm .. i took him out hacking today and asked him to stand and he reared then bolted :/ hes such a loverly pony never like this just recently then i was about to go down a bank and he started to rear again so frustrating! hope you can sort out you problem :) xxx

  • @DarkBay12 he thankfully went back to his old owners :) everyone told us to take him back :l :) now relooking for horses :)

  • SOME SUGGESTIONS:

Have you had his teeth rasped?

    Does he have bit sores?

Tried long reining him and topping him like that..?

(There are some horrible people out there who just don't care and will sell you anything. )

  • @iianthaa yeah had it all done everything. he only does it on a x-c course, he's fine sj in a arena. he doesn't want to stand so this is what he does :l

  • @Brittzo1 Ohh, Thats a bummer :/ xx

  • Freakin ninja horse!!

  • @cowgal58 yeah ..:) just dont get why he does'it :(

  • well controlled on kelly's half there! that could have ended very dangerously. Britt, do not feel a failure at all, because you're not! do not give up just because times are tough! it will take time. -i seem to remember you giving me this conversation when i first got bess :') i know he will and probably has knocked your confidence a hell of a lot! and that is definatley not what you need after william and max. but he will get there eventually! i believe in you. (ps. can you email me this clip?)

  • @Miilzaayy thank you :') just dont know what to do next :l yeah sure will do it now :) x
