  • @MyKuroo nope its me, im a guy and you might be gay. congrats.

  • So many people are impresed, but they don't donate. I can't because I'm 14 and don't have the means to donate but come on people. If you want to see this and the Red hoos movie, donate.

  • @BloodhouseProduction people dont care enough these days.

  • @blinky500 The should start to.

  • You continue to amaze me. That was nice! Where did you get the costume?

  • @shadowking9739 i made it.

  • Hmm. A Blue Beetle movie/tv series would be sweet, but why change his personality? There are a zillion "grim n gritty" heroes. His light-heartedness is a big part of what makes his character stand out. In some ways he's almost DC's answer to Spider-man...

  • @irrevenant3 just because the story is gritty, doesnt mean ive changed the character. i have every intention of keeping him light hearted and fun, but the dude can be serious when he needs to be.

  • @irrevenant3 correction he is DC's answer to spiderman

  • @irrevenant3 This is obviously the CHARLTON version, not the DC one.

  • Hmm you've got a great vision for make films that go to the small little cracks of the DCU. Seems your only problem is funding witch makes sense considering your independent. Time Warner is doing something call DC Nation on cartoon network. A one hour block of all DC TV Shows, Shorts, and interviews. You should see if you can get involved producing live action shorts. Believe me money won't be an issue if their funding you.

  • @InfernoXRonin great idea, but they'd never hire me. im not represented or union.

  • @blinky500

I just recently got into writing and acting. I'm no represented or in an union either but my goal is to get to that level. It'd be a real shame if you didn't try to do the same dude.

  • @InfernoXRonin who said i wasnt.

  • I'm glad you're using Ted Kord. I was pissed when a PRICK like Maxwell Lord killed him in COLD BLOOD. He didn't evengive him a Fighting CHANCE. Beetle's hand were encased in gauntlets and he had no way of defending himself.

  • how did it cost to make that movie

  • @TerryBM12 a couple of bucks.

  • I'm requesting one with the Sentry from the Marvel comics!

  • @biostyle fund it and i will film it.

  • @blinky500 Oh wow, this is so awesome! Can't wait to see it!

  • @blinky500 Only if I won a lottery..

  • how were the goggles made?

  • @tys3guancia bought em in nyc.

  • @blinky500 well then, I do have a sewing machine. Did you use a Lycra fabric for the costume?

  • @tardisblue1963 yes.

  • @blinky500 how was the costume made?

  • @tardisblue1963 with a sewing machine.

  • Great vid, if I had the money it would SO be yours. Plans to include the Bug in the final version. Also, can I assume the multi-colored hair people where The Mad Men?

  • @LibraGamesUnlimited thanks. yes those were the madmen.

  • @blinky500 I haven't even thought about the Mad Men in years. :) DC's early Blue Beetle (right after the Crisis) has some of best villains I can name: Man Men, Conrad Carapax, Overlord (or was it Overthrow), The Mikado and of course The Muse. :)

  • when r u getting the funding

  • @vladznize97 when you cut me a check.

  • @blinky500 how much

  • @vladznize97 2k is my standard starting price.

  • THAT SUIT IS MINT!

  • Go Ted!!!

  • wow that good

  • Who's the older dude with electricity coming out of his hands supposed to be?

  • @holzapfelstein jarvis kord.

  • cool

  • ffaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake!!!!

  • @thecommenter585 moooooooooooorrrrrrroooooooooonnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!

  • this is not a joke this is not a waste of your time, I am very interesting in funding your movie, please get into contact with me At Dean_99@live.com and we will discuss the exact amount of what you'll be receiving for the film's budget.

  • cant have blue beetle without booster gold :)

  • Awesome all it needed was some beter action and it would be perfect!!

  • Did you get funding yet? :D

  • @acemonkieexp :< This would've made an awesome fan movie.

  • You need to do the sequel w/ Booster Gold.

  • This is fantastic. I take my hat off to you!

  • @TerryBM12

    So..you didn't like it?

  • fucking fake

  • i like the color gang inclusion

  • The costume looks great.

  • Me cae que hay que tener hartos huevos para hacer esta madre.

  • Even if you had the funding, you'd still need the rights - unless you already have permission from DC, but... Well, the point I want to make is that you at least have a really great digital teaser and I'm more than half-convinced you COULD make at least a visually good movie (not having read the script, of course - that's what I meant).

  • @jorson2 45 dollars.

  • @blinky500 What do you mean by, "45 dollars?" Is that what it cost you to make the teaser (not counting the cost of the camera, which you probably already owned)? I was, of course, trying to compliment you. Rights or no rights, it's still a great little video.

  • @jorson2 yeah i own the camera. so it only cost me 45 bucks to make the blue beetle suit. everything else was free.

  • I love the fraze "COMING SOON! (once I get funding)" lol! can't wait.

  • I swear - you ARE Blue Beetle.

  • TED WHEN YOU DIED SO DID OUR SPECIAL MEADOW! *sob*

  • "Coming as soon as I get funding"

  • ZAAAPPP!!

  • this makes me wanna make a super hero suit jump on cars and have a fight with my dad.

  • I thought is was cool, But you film in minimum places the same places were shown over and over again. But what am I to talk I'm Delaware not a lot of places here.

  • why is the blue beetle fighting some random pedo?

  • @zackdudeawesome thats his evil uncle jarvis, read the comics sometime.

  • This was fantastic! I love the actor playing Ted! The costume looks amazing & this intro. looks to have potential.

  • "Coming as soon as I get funding" xD

    Nice job.

  • guys, his mask won't come off unless he touches the control (in the finger of his glove) to the lock.

  • @diddymuck i know, but in my script, in the third act, jarvis short circuits that feature and rips it off.

  • @blinky500 good comeback

  • hahaha.. as soon as i get funding

  • Ted is like Spider-Man (not the costume haha): He can be serious and/or funny and either one will do just nicely. He's mostly funny when he's with Booster, though.

Screw Jaime. Ted IS the Blue Beetle.

  • Who's the villain in this one?

  • @HonestDav jarvis kord. ted's evil uncle.

  • @blinky500 Do you mind if I ask what kind of budget you were working with? It looks like you put some cash into this.

    -Joe E Dangerously

  • You > Hollywood Directors

  • How about creating a new super hero rather then following footsteps?? It would be great...= P

  • @TheBull73 i did. watch the protector.

  • Did you buy this costume or did you make it ?

  • @TheHMarvel made it like i make all my costumes.

  • @blinky500 How do you make these costumes? I'm a complete rookie, and I have no idea how I could make my own

  • If super-heroes actually ran around in Spandex leotards they would look so stupid.

  • @RichYan33 if you say so.

  • No offense but this is why movie production movies never portray the hero as they appear in the comic books. In the comics, it works. In actuality, it doesn't.

  • @Holmes245 on the contrary, it can. you do realize i made that suit for 30 bucks. if i had millions of dollars, clearly i wouldnt put the character in bright blue spandex, but it wouldnt kill anyone to keep the same design on a more realistic looking suit. dont take this fake trailer so literally, it just a conceptual piece. and if given the opportunity, i wouldnt blow it with sky blue spandex. thats just stupid.

  • @blinky500 Dude, you are awesome. For 30 bucks I can't even get my own clothes right, An honestly, it is a real kick to see our comic characters portrayed so faithfully. sometimes the costumes may work, sometimes not so much, but the fact is you go out there and try to make it work for all of us, so thank you a thousand times. Do you have a facebook fan page?

    Best regards from Chile!

  • @egosummagnus thank you. and yes i do. just type in my name or blinky productions

  • COMING...

As soon as I get funding.

  • Great new's is that there will be a live action Blue beetle series. Although people will be unhappy because it's the third Blue Beetle Jaime Reyes.

  • @Nightavenger2 i know

  • @blinky500 Great to see DC finally giving one of DC's lesser known super heroes a tv show.

  • Who is the old man that shoting lighting from his hand? Is He a villian from the comics or just someone you made up for this film? Great work on this film. Thanks

  • @unclepatrick2 jarvis kord.

  • @blinky500 thanks. I had a senior moment.

  • Jaime Reyes Does not exist. Ted is just on a momentary vacation.

  • @CrestofLoki i concur.

  • fuck Jaime Reyes TODD is my Blue Beetle

  • @chuckbear i think you mean ted.

  • @blinky500 LMAO FUCK! i did I just woke up and was still hang over. lol I'M SORRY lol

  • great job

  • I would totally watch this. The costume though, it works in the comics, blue spandex looks a bit silly on the screen, a blue leather costume would look better (like daredevils costume in that crappy daredevil movie, only blue instead of red).

  • Wow, I would pay good money to see this!

  • @KosephMivyotlh thanks. feel free to send me money any time.

  • That.....was.....AWESOME!!

    BWHAHAHAHAHA!!! ;)

  • That explains. I didn't know you were actually playing Blue Beetle.

  • You guys need to work on your camera angles. The fight scenes were too obvious that it's staged. The guy fell down when Beetles elbow never touched him.

  • @yauyuso everyone's a critic.

  • @blinky500

Your work's pretty cool man but the fight scene needs some work to be better. You can try moving the camera closer perhaps just a half body shot.

I watched a lot of Hong Kong action flicks when I grew up so I am familiar sorta with choreographing fight scenes.

  • @yauyuso i dont know if you are aware, but i was playing blue beetle in this. i had a vision, but there is only so much you can explain to your camera person. this is also the reason why i hardly act in anything anymore. watch my other action movies like hourman, catwoman of the f train. i shot those myself and the fight scenes are way better.

  • Ha! "As soon as I get funding." Best way to conclude a fan trailer teaser. XD

  • I've seen a lot of fan film trailers, all of which are crap, but this is actually very good, well done

  • that would be awesome

  • Ted Kord has a posse.

  • @UglyMannheim is that so?

  • @blinky500 Yes and your movie is proof. Good job.

  • @UglyMannheim aw shucks. thanks.

  • Are this movie done?

I like the promo movie. I would like to see the full length version.

  • @evasky0906 no its not done. it was never made. its a fan film and i never got funding.

  • I would watch this forever.

  • Is the villain Grey man?

  • jarvis kord.

  • Neat trailer but how many times do you have to show the villian choking out BB

  • as many as it takes

  • mmm dude what are the powers of BB?

  • none. ted kord has no powers.

  • @blinky500 ooh.....lol another batguy?

  • no. more like ironman.

  • @blinky500 oh xD

  • For some reason this one is slow in loading and takes a while before it will play. Maybe it's just my computer. But, regardless, I LOVE EVERYTHING from Blinky Productions. Not really a die-hard Blue Beetle fan, but I LOVE THIS!

  • Hey Chris, I love your Work, I am also an actor here in Winnipeg, Canada, Eh. lol. I saw the video of you detailing how you made The Question mask, but I want to know how you put together the Blue Beetle costume, Details maybe?

Also I just got a role voicing Ted Kord/Blue Beetle in a fan animation by DCVerse, look for it in May here on youtube!

  • cool. as for the suit, its a sky blue body suit with dark blue and black trim painted on. thats all. good luck.

  • Such a good job! Really, amazing work.

  • i love your costume! I am actually a huge Dan Garrett/ early Joe Gill /Charlton era Blue Beetle fan. I was thinking, could you maybe put a flash of a red torn glove reaching out with a blue scarab in it's palm? I think that would be Boss! Just an idea, I know there's a cave in right afterward but sometimes i feel like the only Dan Garrett fan around...Great vid!

  • Hey dude I don't want you thinking that I feel this trailer is lacking. This was awesome. I actually wanna see Warner Bros take a crack at some of the lesser known DC heroes like Blue Beetle or the Question. Keep on making these vids and thanks for answering my questions.

  • dont worry, i dont. thanks for watching and thanks for the compliments.

  • Who was the dude w/ the Electro powers?

  • jarvis. read the info box.

  • Maybe it's because Blue Beatle wasn't one of my favorite superheroes but I don't know who jarvis Kord is. Is he Ted Kord's uncle?

  • yes. he's ted's uncle and is the one responsible for killing dan garrett, thus forcing ted to take over. in my story, jarvis acquires some electric powers which i carefully explain. clearly i cant in this trailer.

  • is fake?

  • do you even need to ask?

  • :D no

  • Are those guys supposed to be the Madmen?

  • You read Blackest Night Booster Gold? I'd love to see you make a Black Lantern Blue Beetle costume.

  • @KingSkeletor

i did. but i dont like zombie kord. when he comes back to life (for good) ill be happy.

  • @blinky500

in one booster gold comic, booster takes jaime (blue beetle #3) back into the past, and stop Lord from killing ted. ted even tells jaime that he was proud of jaime as his legacy.

  • i know. i have the book. i got nothing against jamie, just pissed dc decided the best way to raise sales was to kill ted.

  • @blinky500

yeah. I just got into blue beetle, and I havent read the old ones, but, I still gotta say that it sucked a lot to have him killed off. fr some reason though, I didnt have any problems with his sacrifice on the brave and the bold. dont know why though.

  • me either. thats because he didnt go out like a bitch. he went out heroically. he stopped a missile vs on his knees powerless and getting his brains blown out. thats a sucky way to go.

  • @blinky500

    I'll agree to that.

    heroic sacrifice>flat-out murder anyday.

  • If I had any money I would SO Donate!!! <3 This looks amazing!!! Your stuff is amazing in general!!!

Thank you for submitting such great videos to YouTube!!!

  • I still have some of my old Charlton comic books with the Blue Beetle in it ;-]

  • @TheDemonPazuzu

Would you be interested in selling them, or maybe you could scan them?

  • It wouldn't bother me, but there are lots of comic book download sites that have already beaten me to the punch. I'll send you the link to download Blue Beetle comic books, if you like.

  • That would be great, thanks

  • awesome vid blue beetle really needs his own movie and your costume was cool how did you make it

  • punch buggy blue

  • hahaha reminds of the 80s capes TV shows.

  • A Blue Beetle and Booster Gold movie shoudl be mad,e not with the two together, but eventually having them join together in the sequels. And a JLI film.

  • @hrraneruz they are both gonna be in smallville

  • @nickcrocker7 Really?!

  • @Lissbirds yes, but not this blue beetke but the one from the new show

  • Ah, Chris, you are a CUTE Ted Kord! (Do take it as a compliment.) ;)

  • THANK YOU. man i have been waiting for ted to get the spot light, but this is just awesome. i am a independat film maker myself, and i must say this is very professional level stuff.

  • thank you

  • YOUR MOVIES ARE INCREDIBLE!!!! CAN YOU DO A FAN FILM ABOUT THE LEGION OF SUPERHEROES OR THE TEEN TITANS??? i would love to see cyborg and nightwing, or cosmic boy, mon-el and saturn girl in meat bone film

  • Iguess power girl should of exchanged the old mans dell

  • OOh... Can I make the guess that with the wild hair colors those guys have that he's Duking it out with the gang known as "The Madmen"?

  • you are correct sir.

  • I've always really loved Ted Kord's Blue Beetle. He just always seemed like a really cool guy. I'm just grateful they've finally released some JLI books for the fans of the era's Justice League.

  • how'd ya make the goggles?

  • its more better then new custome of blue beetle

  • Just hit them already!

  • looool love the ending (not to say that the rest wasn't great)

  • If nothing else, it can be said that you made a pretty awesome BB costume.
