@JayJayChrome no it is completely pointless to actually reach the top of the flagpole, the only gain is al life. Also to the other comment, you have to get all the star coins to unlock some part of world 5, according to my sister

In the game do you get an actual percentage of completion? And also, apart from the 1-up, does it really matter if you don't reach the top of the flagpole for every level? Thanks.
