I hate eggbeaters. I used to make this, from the original recipe: little quiches. I'd rather eat real food: real eggs & real whole milk. I lost weight quickly on the "S. Beach Diet." As Michael Pollan says: "Eat Food. Not too much. Mostly plants." Most leafy greens have protein as well as vitamins & minerals.
Hi! Have you thought about intellectus diet (do a google search for intellectus424dietcom)? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my friend lost a ton of weight with it.
@Linda7647 florets are the group of brocolli not just a tree stem or the little peices ( i think) but your probably right wait no i might be right because there was 3 big florets of brocolli in the beginning but you stilol might be right , I'm not sure but cudos to you for noticing that.
If you don't like the onions al dente, you could use a food processor to mince the onions to a pulp. I will add a bit of low salt chopped turkey too. Well done video. No distractions. How about including how to store the egg cups and freezing instructions at the end? Thanks.
This looks great! To be honest, I'm going to try and make it how I like my omelets. For me that means taking out the broccoli and adding some onion, bell pepper, and (maybe) a little chopped ham. Thanks for the video, It's a great idea!!!
@danielofantioch Ok, I tried what i listed above. Though I learned not to fill the egg mixture to the rim of the cup part. It rose quite a bit! The onion and green bell pepper where still a bit crisp but not too raw. I may cook it 20 minutes at 350 instead of 15. Or steam them before I cook them like in the video. I added no salt to this since the ham I chopped was a bit salty.
@Stormclouds777 Hi... Hope all is well with you... Did you make them... ?? How long would they keep ? How did you store them... Would freezing be out of the question? Thanks so much... :) Take care...
@deliber8cre8tor Yep, I made them. They were very good. It took exactly 10 eggs, (like someone posted below) I also added some chopped sweet onion, and topped them with Salsa when I ate them. I stored them in the refrigerator in a plastic container with airtight lid, I had them eaten within a few days though, so I didnt need to freeze them. Im sure if you put them in freezer bags or vacuum sealed bags, they would be fine for a couple of months. Good luck!

Do you have to steam broccoli and what about using egg whites -
tikkihut58 8 months ago
@tikkihut58 Yes you need to steam it otherwise the broccoli will be crunchy and egg whites would probably work just fine.

Um, that's way more than 3 florets. Sorry, but you lost me.

I love these, but how do you store them..I hate all the condensation that builds up in the container once placed in the refrigeration
jennyg930 10 months ago
@jennyg930 Wait till they cool before refrigerating in the container.

@wodeFDIB I'm with you. Seems so much easier and way faster to to just fry the mixture once it is made.
