People still play them and such, and I have copies everywhere I can make sure they are safe so they can't get lost for eternity.

if you really want to make games and you have no knowladge of making games or Scripting you should use gamemaker!

GameMaker is much more versatile and advanced, as well. You can surely create simple beginner games but you can also create really, really professional games with it. Some awesome ones are shown in the video 100 Game Maker Games in 10 minutes.

Yep thats True, i'm between intermediate and Pro i guess, i can nearly make any type of game i want Shooters Race games RPG's RTS... 3D and a Part of RTS is a still though tough.. if you need some help on Gamemaker anyone can PM me or Request an Tutorial.

Yes, and that's the problem. Using FPS Creator isn't game making, it's level design. With Game Maker you actually learn how to solve problems with a programmers' approach.

This isn't real programming... all the easy stuff is done for you here, you don't have to do anything that gets you involved like the ATARI developers did...

I wouldnt advise using that game making system, it looks so confined. u should use game maker, and u can make ur own sprites and its much more flexible. The only thing u would have to do is get used to gml aka game maker lanuguage, for coding.

True 'nuff - except that this is simpler. And it works in facebook - and it works as a gizmo.

But more importantly - it's simpler. Don't get me wrong - I am learning C#/html/CSS/java intermittently - I just think this has different applications, and is a match to game-maker - in it's own market - and in it's own right.
