  • God knows why they decided to drop this song a semi-tone for the stereo version because from hearing this one, I decided to use some software to speed up the stereo version to the exact speed this correctly recorded mono version is................and that's the way it's gonna stay! And I still LOVE the Beatles Mono Masters - very interesting finds in those tracks compared to the stereo ones!

    LOVE THE BEATLES!!! :)

  • definitivamente mi cancion favorita :DD

  • it sounds so different O:

  • Brilliant, but im used to hearing it on stereo, mono sounds weird to me

  • She's Leaving...what a story, what a song. Gives me chills every time.

  • I love this version of "She's Leaving home"! Why would she leave home while such an epic sound is happening!

  • UGH!!! What a terrible version of She´s Leaving Home! What happened to Paul´s voice here?

  • @leaftechno The mono mix was sped up as the Beatles wanted it to sound. The stereo release you hear was mixed without the Beatles and so is different, at normal speed. It makes Paul sound younger, as in When I am 64.

  • @leaftechno Faul!

  • @leaftechno this i the original and it is how he recorded it

  • REAL FIRE !!!!!

  • I like this song better in this key. :]

  • @Sonicdude41 Me too!

  • best album in my opinion.

  • @likebodacious unequivocally

  • Hm! Different pitch for "She's Leaving Home".

  • Wow! McCartney's voice sounds much better on this version of She's Leaving Home.

Maybe Paul is alive after all. :)

  • She's Leaving Home sounds like marriage lol she is always leaving

  • She's Leaving Home The best song ever heard in my fucking life

  • George Martin was right,no one has listen to sg pepper until they listen the mono version.

  • frickin' love Being For The benefit of Mr. Kite

  • She's Leaving Home always makes me kinda sad.......

  • this version sounds faster in mono but in stereo it's much slower

  • I'm so blown away by how different this sounds!!! Sgt Pepper in mono is so much better! Too bad stereo is cheaper so I got all the Beatles albums in stereo but not mono :/ oh well I'll wish for the mono remasters on my birthday, haha! Thanks for posting!

  • These were both about actual things that happened

  • Here. Allow me to help everyone skip past the dead spaces between songs:

    0:00 She's Leaving Home

3:50 Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite!

Please thumb up so it stays up where people can see it. Thanks.

  • This and the stereo version are two totally different albums.

  • "She's Leaving Home" is in the other key...

  • 3:52 - Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!

stupid gap, thumbs up this comment

  • @TheRealTacoHuman no one will thumbs you up

  • I can almost visualize the whole Mr. Kike scene. Wish i was there ha.

  • the Beatle's life is the most inspiring life lived and out lived, after you read the biography of them by Bob Spitz your life can never be the same again

  • Mono mix sounds fresher than the stereo

  • she's leaving home sounds amazing, oh my days it sounds fab compared to the stereo, as does lucy in the sky with diamonds <3 (btw, im 14 ... some "youngsters" have taste :P)

  • One of Pauls greatest composition this song absolutely amazes me

  • This is stunning in remastered audio. This is powerful music. Martin was right: "You haven't heard this album until you've heard it mono" Go figure....

  • She's Leaving Home sounds different in mono than it does in stereo. It sounds more tragic and symphonic which works with the song better than the stereo version which sounds more upbeat.

  • that picture is making me trip....it's like the people are moving! and i'm not even on drugs!

  • @demravager i am. and i agree

  • You can hear the sound effects and the organ mixes better on the mono "Mr. Kite".

  • John Lennon was a genius.

  • @11CGOD11 He was way more than genius. He was a Beatle.

  • @mjhher3394 they did what we all should do

  • .......Such an amazing song.

  • I have an awesome music video based on a beatles song. Check it out.

I edited, directed and posted it onto youtube as a 12 year old.

Type in Brennan Music Video Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds

  • when u really listen to the shes leaving home song's lyrics, you will find that they are really very sad. that dosnt change the fact that its one of my favorite songs.

  • Mr Kite is an unique masterpiece!! :D

  • geat, mellow jazzy bass on mr. kite

  • this song in mono version, in my opinion is one of the best beatles songs written, i find you can like feel the emotion in the song when paul sings it, and the instruments are much clearer than the stereo version

  • She's Leaving Home Is a Song that's just sad in the good way. Mr.Kite is just Ringo hit that snair drum great songs

  • Amazing that this song always reminds me of an old girlfriend as do most of the songs on this record inspires poetry RR

  • i cant listen to Here Comes The Sun anymore cause my ex gf broke up with my on my grad night when that song was on.

  • Still amazing. I'm so glad I was alive to experience The Beatles from the beginning. Still the best ever.

  • She's Leaving Home sounds chipmunky even though I know it's not pitched...

  • The mono. mix is faster.

  • why are there really big gaps of silence in between songs?

  • I like the other version to be honest.

  • she's leaving home sounds tremendous in mono...much better than stereo.

  • Too high for me.

  • I know, I always hated this song, now I don't mind so much. The stereo version just felt so damn flat.

  • @mobile513 I like the stereo version. feels a bit more poignant.

  • @HiLeonardo this i dont really prefer either the stereo sounds dramatic and sad but the mono sounds like paul is telling a sad but get over it story

  • The Beatles are great it dosent matter mono or stereo certain songs sound better on both

  • @TheHeavymetalpenguin i honestly think the mono vs stereo is a big deal and the youngsters really need to listen to the actual genius that is the beatles i grew up listening to the 1987 stereo mixes when i started listening to mono mixes i was blown away

  • @totaldrambeatles22 Im 16, I listen to the records as in vinyl. Im waiting for the Mono vinyl box set!

  • way better than stereo. its more intimate in this one

  • There is more echo applied to the vocals on the first track.

  • This band had many disagreements, and arguements. That is just human nature. One debating and all that. Just glad they did not let their egos get in the way when it came to the music. After hearing about how the Let it Be sessions went. Amazing music came out of those sessions. By that time the band just was not getting alone like they use to. Let it Be is their best album IMO.

  • Don't blame you!.....it's one of my favorite albums by them!

  • @PearlJammer07 let it be is definitley not their best? i love it dont get me wrong but it seems sloppy and they put minimal effort into it

  • @PearlJammer07 are you high? what do you mean there egos didnt get into the songs? they Pual and John bashed each other in some of their songs!

  • @Him207times examples...? I mean, ego was there, but look at Abbey Road: the greatest Beatles album imo, if not at least one of the top 3...the band was barely functioning as a band at that time!

  • @PearlJammer07 that started around let it be the music from revolver to the white album is absolute genius

  • shes leaving home sounds pitched

  • The vocals are not repitiched on the mono version. On the stereo version the playback is slowed, thereby pitching the vocals down. It's the opposite of what was typically done by the Beatles.

  • No, it's pitched down on the Stereo version of the album. In the sixties, this version was released in the US: MONO

  • I'm STILL waiting for the stereo box set I ordered from Amazon on Sept. 10. My bad for not pre-ordering!

  • haha, same thing with me...

  • The Beatles re-masters sold 2.25 MILLION copies the first 5 days out - 9/9-9/13/2009 !!! They're STILL bigger than Christ !!!

  • Damn that is one hell of a sell. I would hope that you are joking about that last statement. John didn't mean what he said.

  • i think more bibles have still been sold. just saying.

  • Crispy and clean.

  • i still wish i had a British accent.

  • @Maztuhmind why not develop one? It took me a while, but I can now convince Scots that I am from their country!

  • @Maztuhmind How do you lose an accent? Did you leave as a child and develop a different accent? I never understood that; I've never had a problem mimicking an accent

  • @Maztuhmind

    ...and a brain..

that goes for all the people that thumbed up that comment, too.

    Damned YOUsTUBidity

and what's with all the asinine banter? It was btichin' music then, it was bitchin' music 20 years ago, it's bitchin' music NOW, shut up already and just enjoy it.

  • @BrutoDaBurlyGoon

    wtf are you talking about?

  • @Maztuhmind ikr!

  • @Maztuhmind You can have one!

  • Very much agreed, that of all the Beatle-supervised mono mixes of all lp's up to the white album, the one of Pepper seems to benefit the most. Interesting is that this particular track seems a little sped up from the stereo version too. Awesome!

  • My twin brother (we just turned 54) had me guess which was the 87 re-do from stereo and which was the new one, and I LOST! God, I've got a tin ear, and am not worthy to be a Beatles fan. NOT WORTHY!

  • You can actually hear Paul harmonizing himself on this version of She's Leaving Home. It's excellent.

  • I think I'm gonna cry... definitely gotta get that Mono box set!!!

  • I am too, now that I know the error of my ways. Thank God my twin brother knows his stuff!

  • 'she's leaving home' is in an entirely different key here. and i love it! this is the way the beatles wanted us to hear this album. and now i understand why.

  • Oh man I have listened to the White album it is soooo much fuckin better in MONO can't wait for my Mono box set!!!! It still hasn't come inm the mail yet.. She's leaving home is brill!!!~ thank God for you tube :)

  • Mr. Kite just doesn't sound right in mono. -_-'

  • only real difference i can tell on a speaker is that john's voice is more upfront but in all these remasters they really pumped up the bass sound, but im sure paul didnt mind that

  • I just really love that swirling, left-to-right craziness and almost cacophony they achieved in the stereo mix. Very psychedelic, more chaotic feel. But very true, I'm SO pleased with the re mastering of Paul's bass. SOMEONE working on the remasters knew that Paul was an excellent bass player and needed to be heard. XD

  • that or paul just slipped the engineer an extra pound note (british currency) and told em "bring up me bass a lil higher would you love?"

  • lmfao i wouldnt doubt that at all

  • hell reading paul's autobiography im surprised he didnt try to take credit for the air the rest of the beatles breathed

  • Yeah I was kind of disappointed at the percentage rating he gave the song he and lennon wrote but I guess it's info we like to know ........maybe....

  • My God, they weren't kidding when they said ''You've never heard Sgt. Pepper until you have heard it in Mono"! I thought they were crazy, but now I get what they mean! O_O Amazing!

  • I love the mono version of 'She's Leaving Home'. Too bad I can't afford to buy the box.

  • Oh dearit doesnt get much better than this. It must make all subsequent bands feel irrelevant.

  • i dont know, dark side of the moon , purple rain and electric ladyland still hold up nicely

  • next time i go home i'm gonna listen to my mono vinyl of sgt peppers that i swore to only listen to on special occasions.

  • It seems like we are hearing the Beatles for the first time!!!! Oh man!!!

where is my MONO set lol

  • I don't really know what to think of this. Still a great song. Backing vocals seem less epic, however the song itself is more cheery.

  • wow, i never really warmed to 'she's leaving home' before, but i really like the mono version. starting to regret my decision to get stereo box instead...

  • Apparently, more Mono sets will be made in the near future, so your chance to have both is still not lost! ;)

  • either that or Ebay's going to see alot of business in the next few months

  • @P0mt3 i just ordered it online NO PROBLEM like disney dvds when something is a limited time for the merchandise you can still order it online after they stop selling it in stores

  • i sooo agree... no wait, i dont

  • Wow, just wow. She's Leaving Home is an entirely different monster...

  • It's about a 1/2 step faster than the stereo version (about 11 seconds or so). It certainly has a different tone (somewhat happier). I prefer the stereo version as the slower, more somber, tone appears to suit the subject matter of the song better.

  • I can't believe they'd even start by screwing around with tape speed.

  • @quiznationrules yeah stereo sucks
