  • What a great looking fan, i just found an old tatung fan that looks a bit like that, it runs but i think it needs a bit of oil

  • Ohhh that is nice! I absolutely love those old 70's and 80's desk fans!

  • I just pulled a little pink 6 inch out of the dumpster...

The motor was seized, but some WD-40 fixed that...

  • Shona has a tozai 14" or 16" table fan. it is white and the front grill has some damage.

  • That looks like a well disguised Lasko model.

  • You gave that fan a second chance at life.

  • Walgreen's is the only place I ever saw Tozai products sold at - lots of different stuff with that name from cassette tapes to portable radios.

  • That makes sense...Walgreen's has been big here for many years.

  • You have too much time on your hands.

  • i got one of those somewhere

  • Made in USA , YES!

  • Actually I don't think it is made in U.S.A. but Taiwan but it is still very well-constructed.

  • Nice! Never heard of Tozai before this. I like these types of fans :)

  • I like them too...I have a Lasko just like it I got at the same sale which I just need to clean up.

  • At 0:23 that is an oil port. That's not often seen on 80's fans.

    Again, that's a nice find.

  • Thank you.....I did put some oil down this port but I think I would like to remove the back cover and just check where it is going and see if there is any gumminess in the bearings.

  • I like how they give you a schematic on the bottom. You don't see that too much! You found a great spot to put it, too.

  • Yes, the schematic is very rare for something like this fan...I do appreciate the fact they put it there.

  • Nice find! I am sure that these are uncommon, especially in my area. I am exactly sure who created that design but they are great fans! Great find!

  • I made a typo. "I am not exactly sure who created that design"

  • Tozai is a Walgreens drugstore brand. It does look like a galaxy!

  • Made by the same factory as my galaxy?

same nut , front guard and back motor cover

you may have to cut the nob on the back off them you can remove cover and oil and grease motor

  • Very nice fan, I'd say it's early to mid-80's. Looks to be a Taiwan made fan, they usually work very well.

Did you pull the rear cover? It could probably use a little fresh grease & oil in the gears / bearings.

  • I really should try to do that...I won't run it much more without re-lubricating.

  • forget about the tozai one i love the one u have on the floor the round one those are my loves lol they are so powerful u should make a video about that one

  • They must have made a few of these with different badges. I bought mine new in the 80s, its an Airmaster. Apart from the buttons panel its pretty identical to yours. Its still a great fan and working sensationally at the moment with the current heat wave in Australia.

  • Thanks for your comments! I guess there it is likely the hottest part of summer.

  • oops, that was the air compressor.

  • That old fan looks remarkably like my Torcan and Toshiba fans. Nice fan there, sounded kind of neat when the blade was off.

  • danialjagarfilms has a nasty sounding one!

  • that is real nice fan

i never heard of that brand name before

  • Thank you...I had only rarely heard of it before too. It seems to be really high quality though.

  • whats it made in?

  • opps nvm, mad ein taiwan LOL

  • I believe Tozai was a drugstore brand. I remember owning a few items with that brand on them... a radio and a set of walkie talkies.

  • i like it looks cool
