  • Every time I watch this video when it gets to the Shuttle launch I choke. One of my favorite videos.

  • @redrum95432 Welcome

  • A very powerful thought or observation he brought up was that when you look up at the stars, your eyes are receiving the protons emitted by those stars millions of years ago but most awesome is that those stars are reaching out and touching you with those protons. Gives me chills to think standing on this planet being touched by all those stars each time I look up.

  • @moomay1949 Thats a pity, it is a good vid.

  • @akeeperoftime Not my work, It is just a mirror of another. I will accept the complement on behalf of philhellenes. :)

  • @HeyRuka Yes it is the original vid, just mirrored because I liked it's message. As it turns out it allows some to watch it because philhellenes vid is unavailable to some areas of the world ... including me, well those of us in Australia because of an apartment audio content issue that Australia is not 'allowed' to see from within philhellenes vid. It is just silly in my opinion, blocking some countries and allowing others.

  • I can't watch the original for this one, something about copyright and my country, thank you for mirroring!

  • @archapmangcmg Your welcome. I think this is one of the best vids, explains much of my thoughts, I even have it as the permanent vid for my channel ... at least for now.

  • at 12:50 theres a clip of a guy reaching into a puddle, i remember it from a documentary, anyone know which one?

  • I'm a father and I'll be damned if I let my children grow up learning nothing cause that what religions are nothing...

  • Religions are one thing and humans who use religions to manipulate and abuse other is a bad mix so something needs to disappear religions or those religious fanatic what it's gonna be?

  • @WICKEDMAN9MM Religion, easier to be rid of then the fanatic, they just move onto another group and still be fanatical.

  • @Knightyme True, true...

  • I can't watch the original video in New Zealand. Pretty bullshit.

  • @SirNoddy1 Really? I'm curious as to what you see when you try now. Prob like some where it says 'this vid cant be shown in your country' so I guess I would have to ask why the US is stopping NZ from watching it?

  • @Knightyme This video contains content from EMI, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds.

I use to be able to watch. I generally liked to watch it once a month.

  • @SirNoddy1 Ahh now I understand. If you can still watch mine copy, then perhaps grab it while you can.

  • @SirNoddy1 Same in Australia, it used to work. Thanks Knightyme for mirroring it :) you made my day

  • @featheredrex Just checked and indeed your right I cant access the original either now. Good thing I got and mirrored when i did then. :)

  • i hate all religions with a passion

  • @scorpsowns Religions in and of themselves are ok, sort off. Its the people and their interpretation of the texts.

That said, I have to say that religions serve no useful purpose now.

  • @Knightyme I'd say the way they encourage and require gullibility and oppose reason is their main problem. It's hard enough already for humans to stay rational when dealing with anything important, because we attach status to the winning side, Adding further problems to this really is evil in itself, given our species' propensity for inventive violence when emotional.

  • Brilliant and timely video! "Stars must die so that I will live". Thank you for posting this!

  • @JohnEBMcC

Thank you for your vid reply, It is quite good.

  • Excellent! I love when someone puts together something that I can point to and say, "Just watch (or listen to, or read) THAT and you'll have a good understanding of how I think about life, the Earth, God, religion, science, and my place in all of it.

    Thank you!

  • @itchittyitch

Welcome, I liked it enough to mirror it.

  • Brill vid,and so true

  • The universe is amazing, and for that I praise God.

  • @littlexeleri

    hehe.

  • click on my name u scared?

  • @infamousgorn

So I click on your name, nothing scary at all. lol. I did delete your other comment though, that was uncalled for.

  • 30. Billion. Years. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME.

  • @kitten123133

Its a ripper of a comment isnt it?

  • What is the name of the song?

  • @scienceman1200

Not sure, you would have to ask philhellenes

  • @scienceman1200 It called "Wake Up" by the Arcade Fire

  • @studizz

Thanks for answering that for us. :)

  • I thought I had added the links to philhellenes channel / vid when I uploaded this. They are there now.

  • Who's the narrator?

  • @Regdot

    I assume it is philhellenes.

  • This is so profound. A friend sent it to me yesterday and I've watched it about a dozen times. I feel like I have to hear it over and over to even begin wrapping my mind around it all. As a formerly very religious person this makes sense. We humans have made God so small and sometimes petty with all these rules that were made up by man and ascribed to him. We make his focus solely on our tiny dot in this mind-blowing universe. Surely, if he does exist, he has bigger fish to fry.

  • @runnerboy36

The universe is roomy to say the least. :) When people understand the size compared to the earth, solar system, galactic arm, galaxy, local group, super group, universe. When people understand this, then the claim that the *entire* universe was made just for humans, is see for what it really is ... ludicrous. At least that is my opinion.

The universe is an amazing place no matter how it came to be.

  • you've summed up my philosophy so much better than I ever could. I want the world to see this

  • @Kalearne

That is basically what I said when I saw this vid. So I mirrored it. :)

If your unsure what mirror is, it is where you download a vid from someplace, upload it on your channel. In the description you say where you got it from and link back to it where possible.

  • My 'God', what a good video! I want more dark nights!

  • @87vortex87

Indeed, the night sky can be a fascinating place to look.

  • Loving it. Thanks for uploading. Very inspiring

  • @outfromoutwhere

Less and upload more just a mirror of another. See the info area for the link to the original vid.

I use Firefox and an expansion for FF called, download helper, to get vids off the net.

  • Brilliant, fabulous, awe-inspiring, meaningful to the fullest, gorgeous, and just plain SPOT ON. Wake up humanity and watch this video until you get it!

This rates as one of the best youtube videos ever for me.

  • @Traceoffate

    Glad you liked the mirror.

  • 30 billion Years.......Are you fucking kidding me? Great Video.

  • @aperez1311

Yep, so we have a little time left. :)
