Yahhh, I think that's bad, having sent it to almost 100 people who had somehow ended up as my friends/subs and therefore would theoretically have an interest in watching my vids. I remain firm.
Very cute and very creatively & professionally done! I'm impressed with your video making skills as always. :-)
That being said... please don't take offense if I don't make your cake in order to try it. Being a very "whole/natural foods" sort of vegan who hasn't made a cake or tried one in decades, it wouldn't be a good idea for my health. ;-) I do best when I stick with what Mother Nature has provided more directly, so I better just keep having fresh & dried fruit to satisfy my sweet tooth. ;-)
Thank you for saying all this! You're an example to us carboholics! If you had more time, you could make videos about living healthy! No cake in decades....superwoman!! How about chocolate!??!?!
PS: This video really doesn't show many video-making 'skills'...it's practically a slide show!!
Cool video, I like the graphic style a lot ! And I like chocolate cakes too ^_^
I tried some good cooking sessions in the last couple of years, but still no desserts. To be honest, I put sessions in a hold for months now. Maybe sometimes in the next year I will cook again ;-) 5 forks...ehm stars !
Thanks, Alec :-) Yes, chocolate is the best...I think you'll faint when you eventually taste this cake. I'm drooling right now. But sadly I really can only dream of it.
Thanks Jou, but please, you can do all steps easy-breezy! Which man needs to rely on his sister (or other females, for that matter) to bake a cake!? No stereotypes, please! ;-)
Incentive: If you bake it alone, you could potentially EAT it alone, too! Or impress your sister!
lol , omg . of course i hate stereotyping , but seiously i'm horrible at the kitchen except for dish washing . but sister is a professional in making desserts, i love her cakes so much !!
but i promise u , when i find time and courage , i will do it :)
My cake'll suck. (If there will ever be a coined word such as ''cake'll'').
My grandma has been cooking and baking for 70 years...don't you think that the cake will taste nicer if it would be made by her?... I'm not too good on baking, but I love to help her bake.
PS: I didn't quite follow your last 2sentences....re-phrase it please...lol
However, it doesn't make much sense. You have a recipe to follow; how will it "suck"???
Sure, grandma has been baking & cooking forever, probably because this was her role in the household. But this is 2009, plus lucky you can learn tons from her while she's still around! If she's baked for 70 years, she must be at least 75, so you better get started, at 14!
PS: You know I'm a n___, and this cake certainly isn't something I should urge people to eat...
but yeah I've been learning but she has more traditional techniques...She has her hands all bulged and firm for this.. My hands are thin and puny from all the pianoing, cubing and juggling, so my hands aren't fit for baking..
She's 73...
Ironically enough, a quarter of one of her chocolate cakes today..when that one finishes, I can start baking the pound cake with her.
Thanks for the recipe....
I'll have to try it.
It really sounds good!

Okay, sounds convincing! :-) I didn't realize that step 9 was doing the dishes; I confused it with step 10, LOOOLLLLL!

You mean the song?
Yes: I'll try to convince my G-ma to do the cake....but I don't know If I'll get cherries...I'ts not cherry season around here...lol
I'll try the simple chocolate pound cake.
Is it the same as this one except without cherries?
jlspma 2 years ago
Yes, the song (I used APP's Hawkeye before).
Geez, can't you bake it yourself? And serve it to grandma? Practice for your future wife!
I always use jarred cherries as indicated, which no doubt you can get in Portugal. But yes, it would be the same recipe w/o cherries.
I'm glad few here know my profession. But then again, nobody's perfect.
