cheat with 3D, import a normal run into after effects or something, seperate the character from the background, and use the fish eye thing on there, and bam, cheated.
i read that too, it talks about forced perspective... i'd say it's working well here and also you have some real snappy movements going along with it, good work

Great idé! Try ad a control for moving the knee up and down the leg. It's often used when you want some extra effect to characters in still renders.

i remember reading something about this in the animator's survival kit!
like the basketball player is all distorted because it was real close to the camera.
its a pretty cool effect!
