  • @SRTFS 4ft tank and he was that size by 18months ish.

  • I miss my GT..... Lost him in my divorce with all my other fish.....

  • @EBtheDopeman

    That sucks man

  • His fins are so beautiful

  • where did you buy yours at?

  • wat will u feed them??

  • @9743042899 They'll eat anything the trick is to vary there diet as much as possible.Pellets, insects, peas,Prawns

  • wat u feed them ??? i have small ... plz tell me wat 2 feed????

  • heatlhy green terror, congrats man.

  • beautiful fish!!

  • Please Rate and help me sex this Green Terror

  • what a GINORMAS fish...

  • i thought they only lived for 6years

  • i have 2 of those luv them with some oscars

  • Beautiful fish man keep up the good work

  • hes beautiful!

  • yeah my green terror is fine with my oscars but yeah sweet terror how big is your tank

  • thats a great male terror

  • love the color of his pectoral fins

  • how is he doing

  • so i go to the fish store yesterday, and i ask the guy if i can put an oscar and a GT together. he said "oh thats fine". this morning the oscars fins were ripped to bits.

oh, did i mention...THAT IT WAS DEAD!!!!!

  • i have green terror with my oscar and its fine you just have to have a big enough tank for them.

  • @qwerty2930 well man same thing happened to me had a full grown green terror which i got for free put in with my oscar which was half the gt size. They were fine for a few days woke up one morning and the oscar was ripped to shreds. Saved him grew him with beef heart and now they are doing fine together. Oscar should def be bigger if you are adding gt.

  • I can't stop watching this video. If Dozy isn't the coolest fish on Youtube I don't know who is.

I have a 100 gallon tank (378 liters). If I had one GT, who make be an ideal tankmate (an Oscar, Blue Acara, nobody)?

  • red devil

    but be carefull

    or 4 to 6 convects

  • You could try Silver Sharks or Spanner barbs...

Something thats peacefull and not a cichlid so you dont get any territory related aggro

  • omg...for a pair of oscars .... min 720 lt... :S

  • big boy is better

  • @TheJudge7e7 i have my gt mixed with different sa cichlids and they get along fine. hes the boss of the tank but never picks on the smaller fish. he does love to charge me when i come to close but its all show.

  • How do you tell the difference between the Green Terror and the Gold Saum?

  • A "real" wild caught Aquidens Rivulatus dosent have the Orange trim it has a silver edging to its fin..but so can Silver Saum.

    Saum =Seam in German.

The Orange was selectively bred into captive stock 30 odd years ago.

  • one of the most beautifulest fishes i have ever seen, indeed worth the money =]

  • Hey beautiful GT. I read on the internet that they can be picky eaters have you had any problems?

  • Dude, he is stunning.

  • That GT is really nice. I cant wait til my little guy gets that big. Once I put him in my 150-long he started growing right away. He's about to outgrow my tiger oscar and is doing pretty good with my Electric blue and Blue Gene Dempseys. Always good to add alittle green to the mix. GT's are awesome.

  • who gave the award and for what aspect of him

  • FBAS.-Federation of British Aquarist Societies they judge all Show in the UK.

several things are considered ,size ,condition, deprortment are the main ones though.

  • How old is your GT...He's handsome!

  • it says eight years in the description retard lol im not mean

  • is this fresh water?

  • surprisingly, yes!

  • Wow ! Absolutely the nicest looking GT I've found on youtube. What has his diet consisted of, or is it genetics ? THANKS !

  • ...fag...

  • not only is your comment pointless ,... but this Green Terror is one of the nicest on the net-

  • beautiful fish. his color is bright! however not show fish quality, as his color does not go up toward his head far enough.

  • how big is he???

  • haha why does everybody say that the green ''terror'' is threatening other fishes ? my terror doen't do that i have probably 100 fishes in my aquarium and the terror doesn't kill or threatening other fishes , my terror is the happiest and nicest fish in the aquarium ffs

  • How long does it take a captive bred GT to grow to near or full size? I dont have access to the larger ones, only 1-2 inchers at my LFS.

  • they only get the orange on the tail in captivity

  • Killer fish. That is the best looking Green Terror I have ever seen. Out of all the fish I have ever had in my life. I think the Green Terror had the best personality.

  • are gt good by themselves because he has killed all is tankmates and want to leave him alone

  • That is really beautyfull FGT.

  • Simply beautiful brother.

  • izzit Important for GT`s To have Gravels / Rock/pebbles in the tank ? i am planning to get a big rock for it coz they say GT loves to hide , help plz . my gt in a new tank

  • Yes Most fish will need a bed or hideaway spot to run to when feeling threatened or sleep at night .

  • that is a beauty of a GT. They are truly amazing in how owner responsive they are. I just put two in my newly balanced 40 gallon today. Don't worry they're only there to grow, i have a 150g waiting for the pair when they get bigger. They are only about an inch long at the moment.

  • I've personally seen a 10" GT, It's hard to judge how big this guy is. But IMHO he looks like he could be 11"-12". The 10 incher I saw had a massive rounded forehead and he was thick. I really like the personality of the GT's, mine is about 5" and he was taking food from my hand right after I put him in the tank, JD's are cool but I'd go for the GT in your 55 hands down. BTW plecoman is RIGHT!

  • Which would be better for my 55g tank a Green Terror or a Jack Dempsey?

  • Males only grow up to 8 inches. Dont lie about size guys

  • Well if you learned that little gem from a book you should also be aware that book measurements are usually given as standard length (SL)the tip of the nose to the base of the tail(Caudal penduncle),Where as hobbiest usually refer to total length(TL),tip of the nose to the tip of the tail.

So if my GT has a body of 8" how fuckin big do you think his tail is? 3-4" making a total length of mmmmm 11-12".

So you can take your lying comment and shove it up your ASS!

  • They aren't always limited to textbook size. I've had some really large terrors, bigger than a book says they "should" be. Not to mention my old Axelrod atlas says Hypostomus Plecostomus only gets to around 8"... Totally incorrect from an authoritative source. Trust what you see, not always what you read.

  • do some more reading, captain ignorant.

  • nice!

  • This is really a great example. He is beautiful.

  • What a fish! Lovely

  • Tis possible ;-)he's a good 11"

  • shit dude how big is your gt?

it honestly looks a ft long. i know its not possible right

  • he is beautifull!

  • I was gonna add one of these to my tank, but I remembered, holybush don't sell them :(

  • holybush ?? thats the name of my old boozer before it was knocked down. You a Bristolian?

  • Haha, nah mate. I'm British, I like in England, Staffordshire by Cannock Chase.

  • I used to have one just like him :(

    Beautiful fish!

  • What size tank do you keep that one in?

Green Terror can grow quite big, can't they?

  • I'm pretty sure he said its a 120 (4'x2')

You need at least 55 gallons, but 75 would be much better. Males get around 10-12 inches, or even a bit more.

  • That is the Known variety of Green Terror, there is another variety that lives only in Peru coast, is the same fish but the difference is Color: the orange lines in fins are white, this natural variety is more beauty than the known variety. And is territorial too. Lives exclusively in the rivers beetween Lima and Piura, That is the middle and the north coast.

  • Yeah !!! I known that too ...

  • MINES NICER!

  • prove it, post a vid. We would love to see.

  • Wow. Very nice looking male Green Terror.

  • so do zinatom's, greenterror's, and argentea's come from the same family?

  • They are all C/SA Cichlids if thats what you mean, apart from that no they belong in different genera Zonatum =Paratheraps GT =Aequidens and Argentea =Vieja

    ;-)

  • that makes sense.

  • green terror are semi-agressive..they are more tolerant than the peacock bass to other fish....btw nice fish realy beautiful.

  • He's BEAUTIFUL!! :)

  • hey i was wondering if you could tell me how big he is right now. and also if you could tell me if he is agressive.

  • Well he totally freaks when I put the measure on the glass but I'd say he's just a tad short of 11".

No he's not particularly aggressive to the other fish in with him but there are no other Cichlids in there it would probably be a different story then.

  • 8 A year! Patience :)

  • I have one that looks exactly like that! Exactly! He is a jerk to anyone who passes by too . Great fish, easy to care for. I have mine in a 38 gal tank and he is quite happy.

  • I've never seen a green terror before. So it actually looks kinda like a flowerhorn.

  • how long do they take to grow that big when being fed regularly

  • a while...relatively slow growers. Maybe 1 year it old it would be 6 inches.

  • this is a male.

males have very bright colors throughout with the orange on the fins and some may have a hump on its head.

    very nice green terror.

  • Comment below is uncalled for we all know the true green terror is not in the hobby any more. Stuuning green terror could you please have a look at mine i only had it a few weeks and am going to move to a larger tank and would like to know the sex of my teror.

  • Sure thing fella, I'll a leave a comment under your vid :)

  • im sorry to tell you that your so called award winning GT is not a GT at all but a gold saum a real green terror does not have black spot the spot are filled in with color it opposite of your fish

  • Well duuuh!

of course its a Gold Saum cos there are only gold and Silver saums in the hobby for the last 20 plus years. This dosent stop all of us still refering to them as GT's or Green Terrors though does it!Or perhaps you would be happier it we just referred to them as "Aequidens species"

  • actually you can get a true GT from jeff Rapps for about $15. Gotta pay to ship, though.

  • i have a green terror 3 iches in length. it lives with my pacu and it is very stressed because of the pacus size and agression. i ve a small community tank of serpae tetras and small sword tails and redline barbs and three cardinal tetras as well. if i put the green terror with them does he eat cardinals and serpae tetras?

  • may do if he gets hungry

  • wow, your fish is amazing! What size tank do you have him in?

  • Its a 4ft x 2ft x 1ft6 inches

  • 120 gallons? I've been looking at a 120 setup on craigslist for $350...

  • i do have a female og that im from philippines

  • Your Green Terror is identical to mine. Jack is full grown with a nice sized bump on his head. He has a great personality. Loves to play and swim fast. Urgently need a female for him in YUKON CANADA

  • stunning! Is he housed alone?

  • he shares with a Synodontis Aterrimus 5x Corydoras a Blue Phantom Pleco ,Clown pleco and a flying fox. They all keep the place clean and tidy for him.

  • thats a blue acara ....not green terror

  • no its not.. do you see any marking around its eyes?

  • You should know the difference between a blue acara and a green terror, look it up he is one of the most beautiful green terrors I have ever seen.

  • yes u guys r rite its a green terror ...my mistake ...cause i have 2 of them and the fish guy sold it to my saying its blue acara !!!!!!

  • No Problem, I find fish are often mislabed at fish stores, half the people there don't know what they are talking about.

  • Me too! Check out my vid. The pet shop told me I was buying 2 "blue acaras" but have just been informed one is in fact a Green terror. What do you think they are? They are in a tank with 6 texas cichlids.

What do you think I should do? Change an acara for a green terror so they are a pair?

  • nah keep them both its good to have variety

  • green terrors have a nice red on there fins and the bump on their head makes them distinctively different from other fish.

  • Awesome gold saum! Wow!

  • how much did dozy cost. will green terrors and jack dempseys get along

  • I dont recall exactly but around £2-3 each I started with 6.

I dont see why not, as long as your tank big enough.

  • nice pleco man. i have a 3inch terror but have him with african cichlids will i have to move to tank by himself?

  • Only if the Africans get to aggro with it.

  • asdfxyz1 - green terror needs a tank with 200L so if you have it in there it will grow up just like the one here on wideo- withc i muss saw bravo very nice!

GRAYMINATOR keep him in a nother tank nad feed him 3x times a day he will get back to normal soon but be careful about the temperature and that the woter muss be clean!!

  • what do you feed your gt. mines only about 3-3.5 inches and its no where near as colorful as yours. was yours colorful when it was small?

  • No he got better as he grew.

He's fed pellets (Cichlid, catfish & Koi)earthworms, garden peas and frozen prawns plus all kinds of frozen commercial fish foods.

  • hi i have 2 baby green terrors and have had to move the smaller one out of my tank as the bigger one eat its fins. will they grow back ????? any one

  • Yes.

  • i'm gonna name my green terror the green terrorist.

  • LMAO XD thats a good one... =)

  • beautiful... check out my GT - bigboy... I wish I could have got some more footage of him when he was perked up and glowing....

  • that gt looks real nice. looking at other vids of green terros it's like 3 in 10 chance you will get one like that :) i got 1 gt about 3 inches now. looking good and getting on fine with 2 jack demps, 2 firemouths and 2 convicts :) all juvies growing up.

  • thats an amazing looking green terror!! I can never get a male i always get a female. They are always to hard to tell when they are little.

  • How can you tell if green terror is male or female?

  • by the colors, males are brighter, females darker. males tend to grow humps on their forehead. females are more agressive

  • I happen to have a female of my own. She is still beautiful with attitude :)

  • yeah it happens...

  • i ´have a flowerhorn, greenterror, a parrotcichlid and a silver needle fin they work fine

  • wow its very pritty i just bought one tady 1 and a half inches i have its in a tank with 2 bolivian rams do u think the GT will kill them

  • sooner or later yes.

  • i like to have green teror toe, this one is such a beauty. Do you keep him alone of with onther fish of green terror toe?

  • he's beautiful

  • how big?

  • hes around 10 inches maybe a bit more he freaks when I go near him with a tape measure!

Thanks again for the comments yall :-)
