Everyone says they can take out Anderson silva and we see all of those guys loose. Silva is a beast with many tools and I believe that if Henderson can take ait and keep it on the ground he will win, but that's a dangerous thing to do getting close to silva.

Plus Silva got back to full guard by the end of the round. Dan has no chance even in a rematch. Silva would have finished Bisping in half the time it took Dan (not to take anything away from that glorious and satisfying victory).

I've met Dan at a few events and I hate saying it because I say it all the time but he really is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Verry humble and are all of his fighters. A true class act!

It was an awesome fight...and very close...but Dan did win...he dominated the first round, and almost took his head off. He won. Franklin is still there though, and I think he'll take out Wanderlei.
Viewed with my biased eyes, I see it as a draw. However, perhaps objectively it was a slight win for Henderson. I think a 5 rounder would have seen Ace get the win.
I definitely agree that on that night, if had gone five rounds, and Rich hadn't gotten poked in the eye unintentionally he could have pulled it out. But, I think Dan is just a better fighter and a bad match up for Franklin...who I still think is easily one of the best fighters in the world.

Henderson definately won the fight with Franklin. You could make an argument for the third round going to Franklin, but Henderson completely controlled the first two rounds. If it went five... its hard to say, it most likely would have been closer. But both guys are great fighters. I think Franklin is gonna destroy Wanderlei, the fight will likely stay on their feet, but I give Franklin an edge both in stand-up and on the ground, Wanderlei just isn't the fighter he once was.

I didn't like how Henderson acted prior to his fight with Anderson Silva. He kept saying how he, himself, was the best 185 fighter in the world, and he didn't give Silva ANY respect at all. It was almost as if he was underestimating Anderson, which doesn't say much for Dan's intelligence. I was SO GLAD to see Anderson completely dominate Hendo. I bet he respects Silva now!

Yeah Henderson had his way the first round, no doubt about it. But Silva made the adjustments he needed to for the second, and dominated him in that round and then the rest is history. I can see that a little bit of gamesmanship is necessary to hype the fight, or whatever, but to diss Silva to the point where you piss him off and he won't even touch gloves with you, probably not a good idea. And yeah Ando is a bit overboard with the respect he shows his opponents but maybe that's a good thing.
It's not like I want to see one fighting another (Silva would kill anyone - he is just too phisically dominant) - it's just that I wan't to see those guys being challenged - BJ is perfect for 170, and Silva looked great at 205 - was actually bigger than his oponent, I'd like to see him fight Forrest, or Rampage. However, after his last fight, I don't see GSP in 185 - being lackluster against Bisping or Marquardt would result in a fast KO.
silva has convinced me after he beat dan like that. I think BJ is the next candidate to be pound for pound. I've met Dan at a few events and I hate saying it because I say it all the time but he really is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Verry humble and are all of his fighters. A true class act!

It´s a job if you do it for other people and you get paid. So you are like or were self employed and were mowing lawns and not working for a company. I have a boring industrial job. I make better money than people that work in grocery and clothing stores but it´s physical and stressful.
I want to go back to school but I haven´t decided what I´m going to study. I have only been in army training and working after high school.

It was an awesome fight...and very close...but Dan did win...he dominated the first round, and almost took his head off. He won. Franklin is still there though, and I think he'll take out Wanderlei.

Viewed with my biased eyes, I see it as a draw. However, perhaps objectively it was a slight win for Henderson. I think a 5 rounder would have seen Ace get the win.

I definitely agree that on that night, if had gone five rounds, and Rich hadn't gotten poked in the eye unintentionally he could have pulled it out. But, I think Dan is just a better fighter and a bad match up for Franklin...who I still think is easily one of the best fighters in the world.

Henderson definately won the fight with Franklin. You could make an argument for the third round going to Franklin, but Henderson completely controlled the first two rounds. If it went five... its hard to say, it most likely would have been closer. But both guys are great fighters. I think Franklin is gonna destroy Wanderlei, the fight will likely stay on their feet, but I give Franklin an edge both in stand-up and on the ground, Wanderlei just isn't the fighter he once was.

i dont wanna step on toes, Bisping is decent, and Hnedo is a fucking monster. and i REALLY think the ONLY reason Bisping has a winning record is because most of his fights are in the UK.. honestly i think that is the biggest reason.

I didn't like how Henderson acted prior to his fight with Anderson Silva. He kept saying how he, himself, was the best 185 fighter in the world, and he didn't give Silva ANY respect at all. It was almost as if he was underestimating Anderson, which doesn't say much for Dan's intelligence. I was SO GLAD to see Anderson completely dominate Hendo. I bet he respects Silva now!

Yeah Henderson had his way the first round, no doubt about it. But Silva made the adjustments he needed to for the second, and dominated him in that round and then the rest is history. I can see that a little bit of gamesmanship is necessary to hype the fight, or whatever, but to diss Silva to the point where you piss him off and he won't even touch gloves with you, probably not a good idea. And yeah Ando is a bit overboard with the respect he shows his opponents but maybe that's a good thing.

It's not like I want to see one fighting another (Silva would kill anyone - he is just too phisically dominant) - it's just that I wan't to see those guys being challenged - BJ is perfect for 170, and Silva looked great at 205 - was actually bigger than his oponent, I'd like to see him fight Forrest, or Rampage. However, after his last fight, I don't see GSP in 185 - being lackluster against Bisping or Marquardt would result in a fast KO.

silva has convinced me after he beat dan like that. I think BJ is the next candidate to be pound for pound. I already know he's gonna beat sherk and after that, he'll go for Pierre. he's already beaten serra and he'll put silva to the ultimate test cus he's proven he can stand up with machida and he's the master on the ground.

I love BJ, he's a real warrior. But Silva would hand BJ his ass! Yeah he stood up to a 205 Machida, but Machida isnt Silva. Machida prefers to counterpunch,lay back, and pile up points. Silva attacks, makes you pay for any mistake you make, and is relentless once you're down. BJ great fighter, i put him 3rd or 4th best P4P in the world. 1st Silva 2nd Fedor(not enough competition in the last few yrs)Then GSP or BJ, kind of a toss up. BJ is great, but Silva is a different level.

Pound for pound, the best fighter is Fedor Emilianenko and he's a heavyweight. That's big feat for a heavyweight.
By the way, Joe Rogan just got his brown belt under Jean Jacques Machado. I think he could take on Silva.

GordonStudent, when you fight people, it doesnt matter who you fight, it can go either way. For example, you try to slip a triangle and think you got it, they other person was just waiting to counter it.
Just like those who are on the KIMBO bandwagon claiming he's so tough and blah blah blah. He can lose at anytime too. ELITEXC is payin him 6 figures a fight because he is marketable now just like Tyson was in his time.
