Wow! You have an incredible amount of raw talent. Your voice has great power and range, with depth and feeling that comes from the heart. Even though the recorded sound quality is not studio....What I am hearing is awesome!
Your videos were uncovered while browsing for some other artists. Really a very special treat to hear something so real and pure. There is a wonderful future for you! I hope and pray you find the best path to reach your well deserved dreams and goals.
Hey there, ewmarsto! I want you to know I've always loved this song, the 1st time Roberta Flack, and again with Lauren Hill. But I like YOUR version maybe even better! I play and sing this song myself, I'm somewhat of a singer-songwriter-its always been strange, have to change the "his" to "hers"(I'm a guy).
But I love your simple chord slashes, combined with your beautiful voice!..Id love to "jam" with you someday!
@mikkespo1 you dont change the his to hers. that is not the song. the song is not a love song. this is a common mistake though. the song is about someone who is in pain right now going to a show to see an artist, and as they are sitting there listening to a song they have this sensation that the artist is telling their own story. it is an amazing song and one that anyone who listens to music (everyone) can appreciate and relate to, which is the reason it continues to be covered.
just to add some more confusion to the origin of this song, it's obviously written by Norman Gimbel and Charles Fox for Lori Lieberman, who was pretty impressed by the American Pie. Roberta cught it up later. just look here: superseventies(dot)com/1973_9singles(dot)html - and your version is quite impressive btw! ;o)
@frozenwhitebear - Just to add more confusion, I think the basis of the lyric was written by Lori, then Gimbel and Fox wrote the song. Lori, apparently, based her original poem on McLean's performance of Empty Chairs aswell, not American Pie. :)
You have such a beautiful voice! Id love to hear you sing more.. Kings of Leon - Use somebody I think would sound gorgeous! Duffy would also be nice :o) x
sorry emily. someone corrected me via message and told me that it's not roberta flack's original it's someone named lori lieberman. but i think we all know who made the song famous.
its not a fugees song!!! its roberta flack. the song is about another song you did... america pie... you kill it no matter what song you do though hun! keep it up! i love you passion for music!
Jeero, what the heck .... can you put a microphone up in you living room and get all this musicality, if you can please tell me how... remember it ain't the pony -- it's the rider... imagine if someone accompanied this young prodigy?
You're so good one forgets to comment... but seriously, your mike's bAaAaaAaaaddd! There's a crackling sound, or is it my computer. You deserve a better mike, and more things besides!
Beautiful as always. I discovered your videos a couple of months ago and can't stop watching and listening to them. I would love to hear you sing "hello in there".....
yes, kudos to the original singers and kudos to you for this excellent performance! and so nice to see a 5 minute video from you, many of them are too short :) great job!

you'r a very good singer, performer.
It's a pity your guitarplaying is too poor for your beautiful singing.
Start studying a more sensitive guitarfingerpicking style or look for a good guitarplayer or pianist. Goodluck to you .
