I just came from Macys and picked up a sample of this foundation, I was so shocked to see that Chanel carried my shade since I'm of a pretty dark skin tone (NW 47) that I had to try it.  I'm hoping its good becasue I do want to try the Chanel brand.

i have dry skin and i don't like this foundation at all. it dries out my face like crazy. it looks like skin but there is no shine, no dewiness.. :( Have u tried the nars - sheer glow foundation? Do u think that's better for me?

Just grabbed a sample of this at Chanel and I am interested in trying it. Oh and I think you should take a look at Chanel's Poudre Universelle Compacte. I just picked it up today but I must say by FAR the best blot powder with a little tint. Ive tried everything and I am excited to use it for touch ups.

@aespina955 I don't think there is much difference in the two- perfection seems to have more color options and is not quite as heavy!

I know we talked about this on Twitter, but I ended up not liking it enough to purchase the full size. There were things I loved about it, like not settling into fine lines and the coverage. MAC has always broken me out but I've been using MAC's Matchmaster and it has actually cleared up my skin! It keeps me shine free all day and does not move! It dries quickly like the foundation in your review and I use the same angled brush to apply it. Holy Grail!

I have been using this since it was available at Nordstrom. Having been through all the high end brands (MAC, Nars, Bobbi Brown, Lancome, and other Chanel foundations), I believe it's my HG. Color is perfect, long lasting but not heavy, oil control, no break outs, no clogged pores, nothing but perfect looking skin. I think the best way for me was using the beauty blender and having a primer on first.

i didn't like this foundation it's expensive for what it does and hard to work with .i can't be bothered at the mornings with perfection lumiere. Vitalumiere Aqua or the one with spf 15 , they are better i guess .By the way your hair is looking so nice .curly hair with that volume to die for . also want to say this hair color suits you very well .very good choice . You can try light chocolate high lights if you bored with it .

You're not the only reviewer lately who pretty much has indicated that for the priviledge of paying $55.00, probably having to purchase two of the shades in order to get the right one for my skin, "babying" the application and doing all the work described by all of the reviews I've so far seen and read, and bearing in mind that it oxidizes, I get to wear a Chanel foundation. I have bought this foundation last week together with new chanel brush-that is a perfect duo. It came as little bit epensive but worth the money. I love it totally, I am no longer shiny throughout theday andf I do set it with the blotting powder. I am glad I have bought it. @makeupbyhollie I have sensitive skin and get on fine with the Aqua, although have also just got the new Dior Forever and love that too - the Dior has more coverage than the Aqua, hope that helps x

I had the SAME experience with this foundation. It actually broke me out, so I had to stop using it. And the smell was too much. I was like "Did they pour Chanel No 5 in this?" lol. I'm glad they came out with more shades, but sad this foundation is the only formula that does so far.

Your hair looks amazing in this video, and your skin look luminous and lovely... I looked into the Perfection Lumiere at my local Chanel counter and the business manager at the counter actually steered me away from the foundation. She said that even though it claims to be fore all skin types, it really isn't the best for those of us with dry skin. She recommended Vita Lumiere Aqua for those with drier skin, however alcohol is the third ingredient, so I worry it will be too drying.

I use that same brush to apply my fondation too. I love, love, love that brush. I have the others too, but the one you use is the one I use too. I have not heard anyone else that uses that brush. Nice to nice someone else uses it too=)

I'm amazed how different scents appeal to everyone. I like the scent of this foundation but I hate the scent of the missha bb cream which a lot of people seem to like.
