This is not what the Dragonball series should have ended up like. I have always been a fan of this franchise, and this film has ruined its good name. The producers of this film should not have gone in the direction they had target a younger audience and making an 'action-adventure' instead I believe it reception may have been increased if they aimed its audience a bit higher and made it a lot darker, similar to the first mortal kombat film or in the same style of which the new one if being made.

The director what's his face from Final Destination wanted the movie to be more 'realistic'. He thought that having Krillin, Tien, and the other Z Fighters-minus Yamcha who was in it and sucked-would be too many people and yadda...BUT that does not explain the fact that Bulma doesn't have blue hair. This movie was a perfect example of why they should never ever make animes into live action movies here in America. This was truly one of the 10 worst films that I've ever seen (and not just for being an adapted property but any genre). Justin Chatwin as Goku! oh my God! The only casting that I thought was decent was Emmy Rossum as Bulma...I thought she did the best she could with that craptacular flaming cat apple of a film. I actually felt sad for Akira Toriyama after watching that crap.

We need to reboot this. I always wanted a good live action Dragon ball movie. I know this has potential. I think if they reboot it that they should have Edgar Wright the director of Hot Fuzz and Scott Pilgrim make it. The action scenes in Scott Pilgrim were original and a perfect way to recreate the fight scene feel of the show. So Hollywood if your reading this do that please.

We need to reboot this. I always wanted a good live action Dragon ball movie. I know this has potential. I think if they reboot it that they should have Edgar Wright the director of Hot Fuzz and Scott Pilgrim make it. The action scenes in Scott Pilgrim were original and a perfect way to recreate the fight scene feel of the show. So Hollywood if your reading this do that please.

When I first heard of this movie, I was really excited because Dragonball was one of my favorite cartoons when I was younger. However, when I saw this trailer and other vids from the movie, I realized that they totally f*cked this movie up. Why is Goku a depressed, emo teen punk when he was always portrayed as happy and positive? No blue hair for Bulma? The worst part is the kamehameha...just look up how pathetic they made it.
