Transcend is actually working on a 2 Terabyte thumb drive. I don't know the weight of it, but it takes the scale down to ounces rather than pounds lol
Very interesting presentation. Along those same lines, I remember as a teen in the '70's, there were albums then. Some of my friends had collections that literally filled rooms in their homes - and the turn tables were massive as were the speakers. Now, sans the speakers, all that music AND a player are about the size of a disposable lighter or lipstick!
The world needs all their docs on computer, but also on paper. Its crazy we have the abilty to massivly reduce paper usage, but cant resist the need for paper.

well... you'll need 32 * 32GB microSD cards, those are about 0.5g each. all together 16g or 0.56 ounces for you metrically challenged people...

I can remember back in the early 80's when saving on my Commador 64, was using a tape cassette. BTW what's above Terabyte? Zeekabyte. lol
mitchcoker 3 years ago
After the terabyte is the petabyte, followed by the exabyte, the zettabyte, and the yottabyte. It's all based on the metric prefixes.

Just wait until flash memory starts becoming affordable, we'll probably look back at drives like the free agent and laugh.
