@naturalbeats1 I think by this time Dorothy was quite ill (she certainly looks it) and perhaps in some pain. She was definitely EXTREMELY competitive but, perhaps, in this case, her annoyance was excusable.
@naturalbeats1 Dorothy was competitive, a snob and a CHEAT... if you observe her carefully, she looks along side of her nose and always ends up nudging her mask. She wins most of the time because of this.
@Thorneycroft1937 paul anka had a nose job in the 60,s not 70,s! Irvin Feld his manager send it was no secret he had a nose job and it made him a lot a better in looks. He slimmed down too and he was a polished performer even then! I know I am that
old and can remember! He has always been my fav. singer, no one does it better, an d
he writes all his own material. Well done Paul!!!! Worthing. England. GB.
A very smart man. He engineered his own career while not yet a teenager, wove a multifaceted weave--composer, lyricist, singer, producer--and guarded his pay and royalties wisely. He could be a very tough businessman and did demand the highest standards from his musicians and stagers. So he will never have to be ashamed of a record he made or a show he presented.
The time Paul Anka was on the panel, one of the challengers was too easy for him, someone by the name of Brian Epstein. He was the manager for The Beatles and a number of other popular British acts of the time.
@SueBeaWho Paul Anka participated in the program on 5/31/1964. He was 23. Here we see that his nose is different. During his adolescence his nose was a bit 'bigger.
@TehJew22 Paul Anka had a nose job probably some time in the 70's and to me it was not an improvement as it was made too small and incongruous with the the rest of his face.
@gandy74 actually he got his nose job around 1961. if you search Paul Anka - Lonely Boy Part 3, they talk about it in that video. i personaly think he looks a lot better with it, but i dont think it was necessary.
Gabel had been in Hollywood in 1964 filming "Marnie" for Hitchcock. A few months earlier when Gabel asked something stupid during Jane Mansfield's 24 May 1964 mystery guest appearance Arlene said, "Back to Hollywood Martin!" to a huge laugh.
What a nice attitude Mr. Anka had. He played well.

Dorothy gets so uptight if she thinks she's been cheated of a correct answer it's only a game love :)

He was good looking. Unfortunately, this was about five years before I was even born.
Oh, we had our teen idols in the 70's but missed out on the ones from the 50's.
