  • What a nice attitude Mr. Anka had. He played well.

  • Dorothy gets so uptight if she thinks she's been cheated of a correct answer it's only a game love :)

  • @naturalbeats1 I think by this time Dorothy was quite ill (she certainly looks it) and perhaps in some pain. She was definitely EXTREMELY competitive but, perhaps, in this case, her annoyance was excusable.

  • @MDBellamy FUCK OFF!

  • @naturalbeats1 : )

  • @naturalbeats1 Dorothy was competitive, a snob and a CHEAT... if you observe her carefully, she looks along side of her nose and always ends up nudging her mask. She wins most of the time because of this.

  • i love dorthey's dress/blouse/whatever. and Paul Anka's louis armstrong-like voice.

  • when did this clip air

  • @Thorneycroft1937 paul anka had a nose job in the 60,s not 70,s! Irvin Feld his manager send it was no secret he had a nose job and it made him a lot a better in looks. He slimmed down too and he was a polished performer even then! I know I am that

old and can remember! He has always been my fav. singer, no one does it better, an d

he writes all his own material. Well done Paul!!!! Worthing. England. GB.

  • @iriscone he had his nose job in 1959

  • God, stars were soooo modest and humble back then. I LOVE that. Bring back humbleness please.

  • Small young bright big old soul

  • He was good looking. Unfortunately, this was about five years before I was even born.

Oh, we had our teen idols in the 70's but missed out on the ones from the 50's.

  • A very smart man. He engineered his own career while not yet a teenager, wove a multifaceted weave--composer, lyricist, singer, producer--and guarded his pay and royalties wisely. He could be a very tough businessman and did demand the highest standards from his musicians and stagers. So he will never have to be ashamed of a record he made or a show he presented.

  • Thank you is very beautiful video.Beautiful my love Paul is very very extraordinary and beautiful...♥i♥L♥O♥V♥E YOU Paul...

  • I should not get so worked up about this...for crying out loud it was 50 yrs ago...I LOVE THIS!!!!

  • His ex-wife Anna has become very famous on tv lately.

  • I love Paul's sense of humor, LOL!

  • Didn't they ask "primarily known on the screen" he wasn't.

    Drop it Dorothy.

  • Paul Anka is not Italian, how about an Arab American.

  • @zero4conduct Paul was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada of parents of either Lebanese or Syrian heritage.

  • Wow. An Italian kid opening at the Sands in the 1950's. The stories he could tell.

  • The time Paul Anka was on the panel, one of the challengers was too easy for him, someone by the name of Brian Epstein. He was the manager for The Beatles and a number of other popular British acts of the time.

  • @bluebear1985 Here on YouTube i saw a video in which Anka presented Brian Epstein in a TV show of the 60s.

  • seriously Dorothy shut up. Can u ever lose gracefully?

  • love him so much!

  • Oh, do shut up Kilgallen. Anka has no legitimate screen credit and he was honest about it.

  • Paul makes me proud to be Canadian.

  • Yay Canada

  • They make him sound like Louis Armstrong

  • Ohh Dorothy again. She can´t loose. Mhmm..?

  • Yes his new nose was way too small--made him look less masculine. Still great talent

  • Paul is still working and does a terrific show.

  • How old is Paul here?

  • 22, I believe

  • lol, he was just a kid!

  • @SueBeaWho Paul Anka participated in the program on 5/31/1964. He was 23. Here we see that his nose is different. During his adolescence his nose was a bit 'bigger.

    PAUL ANKA FOREVER ♥

  • Good actor too!

  • He had some great songs!

  • Anka shoulda kept his original nose.

  • Agree with you about the nose-he looked more masculine and sexy.

  • Absolutely!

  • couldn't have said it better

  • His nose WAS made WAY too small!

  • @gandy74 What do you mean by that? :/

  • @TehJew22 Paul Anka had a nose job probably some time in the 70's and to me it was not an improvement as it was made too small and incongruous with the the rest of his face.

  • @gandy74 Oh. I never knew that. :/

  • @gandy74 actually he got his nose job around 1961. if you search Paul Anka - Lonely Boy Part 3, they talk about it in that video. i personaly think he looks a lot better with it, but i dont think it was necessary.

  • RE: Arlene's Back to California Martin! line

Gabel had been in Hollywood in 1964 filming "Marnie" for Hitchcock. A few months earlier when Gabel asked something stupid during Jane Mansfield's 24 May 1964 mystery guest appearance Arlene said, "Back to Hollywood Martin!" to a huge laugh.

  • despite being Canadian myself, I've never known much about him... but what a classy guy, love the bow at the end.

  • What a voice Mr.Anka came up with! Thank you for this great post :)

  • i loved the voice too--very unique. He was great

  • Kind of sounded like Louis Armstrong.

  • @weatdamal It was a weird mix of Louis Armstrong and Donald Duck.
