It shows a story about a totalitarian alien race that starts tyranny all over the world. What is funny is Hl2 takes place in Russia. Never notice till I saw writings on the buildings. It makes you kinda wonder what things are like in other continents like S. America for it's jungles or N.America in the suburbs.

I don't get why they stopped making Half life and made L4D...I think Half life is alot more successful, just that not many people know about it. Maybe if they promoted this instead of L4D it would be bigger. I mean almost everyone who has played this game fell in love with it and the story. Am I right guys? Hl2 has way better graphics, details, personalities and one of the best storylines among all games.Actually do you know something about the release date of HL2 ep. 3. (This was said before Portal 2 was announced) They said that once they finished the games they were working on now (such as L4D2 and Portal 2) they were going to come back to Half Life and finish what they started. They even said that Episode 3 might not be the last Half life. They said that once Episode 3 came out they would probably start working on Half Life 3. Release date? 2012-2015 probably. Since Portal 2 releases 2011.

I the Half Life 2 Beta the Borealis, also known as Hyperborea, was intended to take you from the Air Exchange, where the uprising was to start, rather than Nova Prospekt although you also visit the place, to the Kraken Base where Helena (not Judith, she didn't exist) Mossman was stationed, and then the Weather Control. The Borealis was an Icebreaker, and Kraken Base and the Weather Control were in an Arctic location so you can see where this fits in. I also think the journey ended in "a bad way"
