  • This is pretty but what's the pump power output for your 200mW of 473nm?

  • Anyone know where i can get a cheap 35mW lab laser

  • 473 is the nicest of colours

  • I have a 1-watt 445nm. hand-held laser but I want a 473 nm !!! 445 is more like indigo/violet ... 473 is the real deal blue laser ...

  • きれい。

  • i got my 80mw blue laser in my eye frm up close for about 0.2 secs im guessing and that did permanent damage.

  • Say what!

  • lol will this hurt someone while bieng pointed at?

  • blue :o

    fkin nice

  • Blue is the coolest laser colour

  • I love blueee !!!

to bad its to expensive so I only have the 405 nm PHR one

  • is that even legal?

  • Why would these be illegal when you can own .50 cal sniper rifles?

  • I would like to point out that you must have a licanse to own firearms, you go through background checks to see if you can legaly own any firearm, also there are far more powerful guns then a .50 cal sniper rifle, but it usualy depends ont he situation it's being used in.

The reason it would be illegal is because if you point a laser at someone they might think that a gun is being pointed at them(laser sights), there is no way to tell unless the person using the laser is in plain sight.

  • Lasers aren't illegal, you just need a licence to use high powered ones.

  • steady hand man !

  • It should cost a lot of money, violet and blue lasers are the most expensive, it's hard to produce that colors, what a pity that colors are the nicest.

  • violet lasers are cheap...I build them for less than $30. I think yellow/orange and blue lasers are the most expensive hand held lasers per mW.

    I could be wrong though

  • what happens if i point someone with a 200mW laser?

  • ok.

  • lmfao no its not ok! dont go around blinding people!

  • i wont will i?

  • In the eye? Well, he will be blinded in about 0.01 secs...

  • But a blink is like 0.0001 seconds

  • No. Blink reflex is just 0.1 seconds. Thats 1000x slower than 0.0001.

  • Er, it's faster than 0.1 maybe i was exagerating with the zeros but it's much faster than the time it'd take for a laser to burn your retina.

  • Everyhting higher than 5mW can cause permanent eye damage faster than u can blink. Its a miracle if u get a direct hit from a 100mW laser and don't get serious and permanent eye damage.

PS. Even a 5mW laser can cause permanent damage if it has a good diverage and its a green laser.

  • @sargentaaron2004 if you don't believe me ask anyone at laserpointerforums or google.

  • Whatever, but im sure the person will blink long before you even hit their eye, they aren't the easiest things to aim with, especially if the person is moving. But i still stand by what i have said, they laser wont IMMEDIATELY burn your retina, therefore you will have blinked before that'd happen.

  • @sargentaaron2004 A 500mw Green laser with a diverage of 1mrad can cause permanent damage in 0.23 seconds from a distance of 13 meters. Thats the latest test i've found :) The test was made by USA laser association center.

  • Ok, and in the SUPPOSED 0.13 seconds you claim lies between the damage starting and the human blink reflex... How much damage is caused?

  • Not much, but some permanent damage :)

  • Indeed, and this damage, is it such a small amount of damange that you would say that no damage was caused? Would the victim see with much the same vision he had before exposure, would you say that?

  • Well I don't know for sure. But yes it wouldn't fully blind you but it could cause dark spots so everywhere you look you see gray or dark dot(s).

Lasers doesn't fully blind you execpt if its a really strong laser, but can cause damage to the retina witch causes dark spots.

  • Ok ;)

  • not a lot tbh lol.

  • blue ray lol

  • Very cool blue!

Wish I had 473nm laser like that

  • verry nice laser man! i heard that blue can cost around 400$-2000$ unless u build them!

  • hey where do u buy those from and how much do they cost

  • whats the most powerfull coloured laser??

  • color doesn't matter

lasers can come in all wavelengths of the spectrum, but if you want to get the most power for the least amount of money, get a 635, or 650 nm laser. (red)

those are the best bang for ur buck

  • Comment removed

  • yeah, I know that, dumbass

I said color doesn't matter because a red 200mw laser will do the same damage as a green 200mw laser

a green laser will look brighter than a red laser of the same power, because the human eye is more sensative to that wavelength

the reason i said that a red laser is the most bang for your buck is because a red 200mw costs much less than a green 200mw

in terms of performance, color doesn't matter, that is the point I was trying to make

  • I wasn't talking about aesthetics

  • unless you are talking bluray, then it has more bang for the buck than a red

  • i have been thinking of buying a DPSS laser myself, ive seen some nice ones that give out more mW and cost less at the same time.

  • Thats costs tons of money :O!

  • buy a replacement blu ray diode or disc thing from a ps3 parts store and you can wire your own to be about 10 mW i think

  • where do u have the laser pointing at cause wouldent it burn whatever u r pointing it at ?

  • if you put your finger in that how bad would it burn you?

  • yeah "manofthestreet" has a good question...and i got one too...isnt there a risk that you could light your house on fire...?

  • if your dumb enough to point it at something that might catch fire.

  • well this guy points it at a match which i would say is very likely to catch on fire, right? hahaha well isnt the laser hitting the wall or something? it doesnt just disappear...

  • since wen cud yhoo set bricks on fire lol

  • It will feel much like the noon hour sun burning though a magnifying glass. Your "pull away" reflex will engage long before long term damage is done.

The backstop is black firebrick to absorb the energy of the beam.

  • cool

  • aww i want a blue i have a red 205 from wicked lasers though i want a blue but i need the promotion and the 3k bonus to get it =\

  • its probibaly only about $3000 thats not that much and to make it seem even cheaper thing of the 1000's of hours of fun you would get out of it i would buy 5 and make a laser grid

  • for info on finding the best place to get a laser, try laser pointer forums

btw, nova laser and laser glow are the 2 best places to get laser products. they are both in canada, not china unlike wicked laser.

  • You should put this frikken laser beam onto yer dog's head, and have it triggered by the sound of his bark. Let him run around chasing things around.

  • A Blue 200mW laser it's a furtune to buy.

  • how much does it cost?

  • I guess more than 3500 dollars.

  • you must be rich or something, the price of thoes shits incredible!! the cheaper dragon laser in the viper serie is what i will probaly buy, to the nes who dont now , to buy thins like this go to dragonlasers dot com

  • where do you get that

  • my cousin told me if you shoot that at a commercial airplane it engages the missele lock alarm

  • -sz42781- your cousin should also tell you how to spell words...like missile.

  • Oh thanks for the help! What are you a fucking english teacher?Get a life! And you dipshit still couldent answer my question! Does anyone know if one ofthese blue lasers activates missile lock on aircraft.

  • I'll take your comment in stride (because you're just a kid) and explain it to you. Short answer...no. Commercial crafts do not do this.

It is just not advisable to do so because it is a federal crime. There is little if any risk of blinding a pilot. Temporary flash blindness, yes. You can find this information on Pangolin's website. w w w . pangolin . c o m

No such laser will do that. Red, green, blue or otherwise. A missile lock is done with radar and nothing else.

  • @pmgodfrey Your comment was 3 years ago, i don't know if they had laser lock on then, but i am sure they do now! lol the us army is currently trying to develop ways to prevent their aircrafts of laser lock on!

  • LOL THAT WAS friggin awesum

  • where'd you get the laser from (which company)?

  • put your finger inbetween there and see what happens.

  • omg jean thats crazy did you make that one?
