@Andybaby There are techniques from a variety of attacks, grabs are only part of it. Part of the reason for grabbing the wrist is as a training tool for proper distance. As you can see in the video, there are many techniques that have no wrist grab.
All I ever see in Aikido is defenses against people trying to grab your jacket, or hit you on the top of your head w a straight arm(?). How does Aikido defend against a fast, straight jab?
Does Aikido have any techniques which aren't defenses against wrist grabbing?
