i like this guitar, ive had it 2 years now, but now the general WOW factor about the USB and guitar Rig 4 i feel it is slightly cheap... i mean it cost me 80-90 pounds when it came out and its ok to play as a normal guitar but it is not much better than a starter guitar! you cant bend the notes with medium gage strings with out a struggle, but can be worked around by hybriding the strings to have lower gage on the top e ect and heavy on the bottom!! :D epic.... but yeah, not bad need a new model

Get yourself a copy of Guitar Rig 4. These guitars will only work on XP, however, if you download ASIO4All, oyu can use it on Vista/7. You can play directly through headphones, or connect it to come speakers. You can record with the software, then save it as a WAV. You have endless effects, and the overall sound of the pickups isn't to bad for a cheap guitar. These are great for a first guitar, then as you learn more, you can add some humbuckers, and you're golden. PM me with questions.

The software that comes with it is stand alone only....you can record basic riffs/ideas with it. but it doesn't give you a VST version that you can use inside Sonar 8. But you can buy other (and better) guitar sims that do....like overlouds TH1.

The guitar itself can be recorded of course using the right software (as I mentioned above)

I can't justify buying an entry level guitar but I like this as a cheap solution for beginners. It'll play through any software you have as it's just another sound source so you can add masses of free FX/amp plugins. Also works with Ubuntu Linux, just google "Linux iAxe".

The body is some type of hardwood, neck is maple as well as the fretboard. Pretty much a typical chinese Strat copy with a built-in usb interface. It's actually decent.

It is actually a very good quality guitar for the price made of real wood (at least 624 model but i think that is the same thing). It looks like much more expensive guitar and software is very good. Yes it have a standard amp plug. So it is a normal guitar with USB & headphones port. I think is a best buy for that price.

there are 2 cables if you look carefully. the one greenish from the upper side is in fact the cable for the output speakers. the other cable is the usb. also you can have your own speakers attached to PC but outputing directly from gtr sounds clearer.

when I went down to a music store the USB guitar wasn't even with the guitars. It was with the electronics up stairs. I asked the guy about it and he said not to buy it. It's true you get what you pay for. People keep saying it's good for beginners but I wanna have my guitar PAST when I'm a beginner do I want a good guitar. It's not like I have enough money to buy a "beginner" guitar then a good one a few years later. I'm not butyng it and I don't think you should either.

its a good axe for swinging round the room at home...Nobody who sells them should be comparing them to concert instruments as it is purely a usb guitar not a concert grade instrument...Which for learning is pretty good considering you dont need to go out and buy an amp!

If and when they get good, or develop a real passion for it, trust that they will want to upgrade (no matter what they have) and buy more gear. only thing i don't like is the amp software cannot be used as a plug in with many daw softwares...for that you have to buy an amp modeling package.

also, my pickups are fucked up and fall out and touch the strings, sam ash wouldn't fix it for me, and my bridge is stripped so i cant put in the whammy bar, its a piece of shit now, thank god for my les paul

I ordered mine at steve's music store if you have one near you, but if not you'd have to get one of ebay (they have new ones) or off an online store or go to your local guitar dealer and ask if they can order one from behringer for you, hope this helps

yep, you can use any old-fashioned useless amp too, but the whole point of this guitar is that you can route the A/D converted digital sound into your PC via that freaking USB plug and do whatever nasty thing with the sound, just use ASIO interface to route the samples into your audio-app, then the real fun begings..
