Wow this is a really cool looking setup i wish i could get to build something like that (when i make better music :P) do you find it overwhelming having all that expensive kit around you like theres alot of expectation for you to make good music?
@DJEstablish Thanks for your comment. It would be a real waste of money and time and disappointing if I was not able to make music with all this gear. ;) It's not overwhelming I enjoy making tracks in my studio it's fun, but every now and then you need to step away for a bit clear your mind and think straight when your making music.
Nice set up. I see that you have a mackie control along with what looks like a 32 channel mixing board. I see lots of rack gear also. Could you tell me what type of music you create? also why you chose the set up you have. i am looking at the m audio project mix i/o and the mackie, but not sure if I truly need it. I have an imac running logic 9, mpc 2000xl, cme uf6 keyboard controller, motu mkii, rrokit 5 monitors and a numark mixdeck...I think I have all that I need..i dunno
@omarphi215 Ho Thanks for your question. Yes you are right I have the Mackie Control and a 32 mixing board. :) I make Trance music and progressive house also some techno. Some of the gear is older and and is a part of my studio today. The Mackie control is sweet. I helps me quickly navigate my tracks. :) Thats why I bought it. Not need but a good tool to get the job done. If you go with one get the Mackie. ;) Plug and play. Hope this help my friend. Your setup is sweet BTW.
Hi I was just wondering what desk that is that has the piano and stuff on it? Right now I just have a flat table with my keyboard on it, my computer on top of the keyboard (:P), and my speakers under the table, so, obviously, I could use one of those desks. Please get back to me, and thank you!
@lliwehtedud The Desk was purchased at the Guitar Center. But you can get it here. :) amazon.com/Studio-RTA-Producer-Station-Maple/dp/B003XDN7M4/ref=pd_sbs_op_4/192-4293006-1031638
yo man im wanting to get an imac for my studio and im serious about my work so will imac be perfect will i need to buy anything to add on to the mac are will it be good just for me to hook up what i got and start recording all the people that i see with imacs usually are making bbeats and not recording so can you plz help me out
@StumpyistheBest Yes but make sure you buy Logic Pro 9. You will REALLY LOVE It. It's not cheap but well worth the money. Do you want to record your sounds digital? Let me know exactly what you want to do.
@apple2011 i am going to be recording vocals rapping making beats and idk what else you can do im sure there plenty more to do but i want to get my feet wet but want to buy it all now and slowly learn everything mainly rpping and beats and get samples of stuff for beats
nice set up you got there!i'd like copy it but i dont think i can afford it. i want to set up my own home studio too, and i dont know where to start. my budget is around 500 bucks. i already have a pc to start with(asus i7). need advice about everything else like from the sound card to mixer down, sound monitors, headphones, mics etc. -thanks
@chasingdeathforlife3 - Thanks man. Sorry for the little delay. If you go with PC then I would go with CUBASE the newest version. It runs around $400. You might be able to get it cheaper on EBAY. You do not need the best studio monitors just some that can handle the sound. In other words that won't break when you turn up the volume. You will need an audio card interface for your computer.I think for about $1000 - $1400 you could make a good startup studio. I can send U an email with this info.:)
@FOTOWNGRAFF13 Hi sorry the delay thanks for your question. It's easy and you can get the hang of it pretty fast. :) Just have fun do what you like and if it sounds good to you that's all that matter. :)
@kevinkullen999 I'll be moving to a new house soon so I will be redoing my setup again. Good and bad bad because I have to re setup it all again. But good because I'll have more space. :) Thanks for your comment :)
lol ok dumb question. What is the purpose in stacking two keyboards? If, lets say you had like a fantom x6 and a midi controller above it as i have seen people do, what is the point? Could you not just use the fantom or other keyboard for all samples and midi needs? Thanks :)
@bbills3293 Hi thanks for the question no such thing as a dumb question. :-) Well I stack my keyboards to gain more room in my studio. For others it may be a space thing too or they want to have the controller and Fantom close by for easy use. You could use a Fantom or other keyboard for your samples and midi needs. I think it depends on the producer's style to make music. Please subscribe to get my new video's..
Hey apple, great video's and tutorials! I have a question, I want to buy Behringer B1030A but I don't know how to connect those directly to my pc! Can you make a vid for that or explane me in PM? Thanks alot!
@whosbaddlillyc09 It's a piece of hardware that you connect to your computer via USB connection and it enables you to record sound into your computer digitally and play back sound from the computer through studio amplified monitors.
aight so what are the speakers hooked up to because im building a studio soon and i need help i wish i can email you pictures of things im purchasing on line.
@whosbaddlillyc09 Hi thanks for checking out my video :). Ok so the speakers are connect directly to the MOTU 896HD. I could make a video on this if you think it would be helpful to you. Send me a message with the links of the gear you want to buy and I'll tell you what I think. Let me know if that will work. :D
Holy crap , this is an amazing studio ! How much money did you spend of that ! I mean , i can't really even afford to buy myself an iMac ! Well reason being im only 16 and live it eastern Europe ! But damn ! Im hoping to achive that kind of studio in the near future ! Cheers !
@FlowTraceur Thanks for viewing my video. My life savings. ;) Just joking but it is expensive. It takes time to build a studio like this but it is possible if your committed to it. Set a goal reach it go to the next goal thats how I got my studio together. If you have any questions let me know.
@jlocrasto - Thanks for checking out my video. The desk is made by Studio RTA it's called Producer Station they have it in two colors maple and cherry easy assembly very heavy to move but it a great desk. Please stop by my channel if you have not and subscribe lots of more helpful videos on the way.
cool setup dude I like it you should get some music posters up I don't know what is your favorite band or singer but if it was me I would put a poster of Linkin Park, three doors down, nickelback, red, disturbed or Matallica or even guns & roses in my studio if I had one. I don't have a studio because I still live with my parents but I do have cool posters for my room like Linkin Park, Halo Reach, Terminator 3 Poster of Arnold O and a poster of summer glau.
